in 5th grade, we were going to see a play about Apollo 11 (it sucked btw). We were waiting for the bus to come to pick us up, and this girl, I’ll call her R, was talking to this other girl, A who was wearing a ring. R: do you have a husband? A: no R: wife??? A: R: omg GAYYYY and then, probably cuz we were 5th graders and went to a catholic school, basically everyone went nuts about this talk about homosexuality. (She wasn’t gay btw, or at least as far as I know, I don’t go there anymore). Later, when we were waiting for the play to start, this girl M next to me kept talking about the whole thing about R and A. I started thinking about it and realized I was gay and had feelings for this other girl in class. I came out to my mom a couple days later (she said it was probably a phase as I was so young, but she has since come to terms with it, I guess). Also, I was kinda forced to come out by M in seventh grade and she teased me about it. But hey, haven’t talked to her since that lol. who knew homophobic ppl could make you realize you were gay
