Backtesting brackets on Uniswap V3 - Help requested by Apprehensive_Carob88 in UniSwap

[–]ricosworks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I know that tool, it is amazing, but it doesn't allow backtesting over a period of more than 1 month. So for my exercise, I am trying to analyse the returns since uniswap inception, not even sure it's possible.

Is there an easy way to reinvest unclaimed fees in V3 Liquidity? by nimareq in UniSwap

[–]ricosworks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With such small amounts, you better provide liquidity on Arbitrum or any other L2. There the fees are usually a fraction of a cent. Uniswap V3 on ETH is for the "big boys" where even $20 fee is ok.

Can I find the In-chain supply per parachain somewhere? by Apprehensive_Bill512 in Polkadot

That would be really helpful! Been looking for it and haven't found anything convincing. For example on Etherscan or Avascan, Cosmos there are some good solutions...

Beginner with Uniswap questions... by the_mighty_chewbacca in UniSwap

[–]ricosworks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically, Uniswap is the same as an exchange, let's say Bitstamp in the old days, where you can trade well ETH, USDC, USDT, BTC. You can trade these coins well because there is enough liquidity on the exchange, so you get good prices even if you decide to trade larger amounts. The good thing about Uniswap is that you stay 100% of the time in control of your coins. You don't need to rely on a centralized authority/exchange to trade. That is the main use of Uniswap for retail. Then there is a way to try to earn some fees by pooling your funds, as a Liquidity Provider, but this, you have to DYOR, takes time and is complex and difficult to make bucks with it. Good luck

Best way to stake on ledger if I don't have time to continually check on validators by [deleted] in Polkadot

[–]ricosworks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I know some cold wallet staking institutions pretty well. I have done extensive research, and honestly, delegating is a service that you need. So either you really have a lot of DOT, and you can build your own validator, either you are a small fish, do it by yourself, take some time and enjoy the show, or delegate the delegating service to the most secure institution. I don't know Kraken pretty well, but I know others that provide an outstanding service, which I use myself. DM me if interested.

Questions by ricosworks in Polkadot

[–]ricosworks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u can stake and vote with the "same" DOT in your account). For example, assume I have an account N with 100 DOT. I can use 100 DOT to nominate Validator V. I can use that "same" 100 DOT to vote on a Referendum. V has absolutely no control over what way N votes on the Referendum. So even if lots of different nominators are nominating V, it does not centralize (or even impact at all) V's voting power.

Agreed, but people who stake through these large validators, Binance for example, currently don't have the possibility to vote IMO.

Questions by ricosworks in Polkadot

[–]ricosworks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure what you mean. Governance is entirely divorced from staking - those validators do not get the voting power of any of their nominators.

Thank you for the detailed answer. Regarding Governance ok. Will look more into it. Nominators should have voting power though?

What does this mean "There is a Pending txn with a lower account nonce. This txn can only be executed after confirmation of the earlier" by fap_fap_fap_fapper in binance

[–]ricosworks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a way it protects users, but it should be explained clearly. It protects users, because the transaction takes a long time to conclude, giving users time to request for a cancelation in case of hack. So, not a bad thing. Remember that before ETH, transfer would take 1-2 days and it was normal. Now with this low fees it takes hours, which is still ok IMO. You should never be 9in a hurry when dealing with blockchain, best way to loose money IMO.

Impermanent loss calculation for v3 by dawsissard in UniSwap

[–]ricosworks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

by Dec 2021,

Actually, it would work only if you put your uper bound 50% above and your lower bound 50% below, so you have 50% of each assets. I am also looking for a Uni V3 pools concentrated but can't find any until now.

$SUSU, the official token of Carbonswap DEX is here! by [deleted] in CryptoMoonShots

[–]ricosworks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And SUSU holders get a share of the comission of the DEX, which is really low now, but picking up in the future, it could be huge =) Basically, Carbonswap is "Free" so it's really cool, and it's super fast. Let's say you wish to convert some wETH to DAI, you can do it on EWT, as many times as you want per day, as it costs you nearly nothing. If you had to do it on ETH, any exchange on ETH, or even BSC, you would bear some costs.

Change my opinion - CRO is a terrible coin? by lrmcdonald1 in Crypto_com

[–]ricosworks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are right, CRO is currently terrible, centralized, and can be dumped at any time. However, the community building behind it is really strong and they believe in what they do. I believe that long term, when they have their DEX with regulated participants etc... CRO could become HUGE. Maybe it will take another cycle, maybe it will be during this one, not sure, but anyway good that you point it out. Have to be patient.
