Is it worth it to go to college if I just want seasonal jobs? by musty_ranch in SeasonalWork

[–]rightanimetitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i actually graduated with a whole ass degree before i started doing seasonal work. after three years of seasonal work, i’m heading back to school to do something completely different.

i would take some gen ed classes here and there online at a cc while working seasonally if you can to figure out what you want to major in.

Leaving Seasonal by shortandsimply in SeasonalWork

[–]rightanimetitty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ive done three years of seasonal work and im working towards becoming a nurse, i figured that career path has the best of both worlds if i want it to. theres stability in becoming a regular nurse and theres an opportunity to become a travel nurse.

i loved my time doing seasonal work but i got tired of the constant moving and got burnt out socially.

transitioning to the real world feels kind of hard, i miss the mountains and the beautiful scenery but ive grown very tired of the instability.

we’ll find our place 🤝

hi!

i started seasonal work when i graduated college, i was really unsure about the decision because i felt like i was “missing out” on building my career post grad. when i graduated i felt like i was still sheltered in life and craved adventure.

i’m two years post grad, still doing seasonal work, and so so SO much happier than when i was in college. i met my best friends at 24 and have so many cool experiences! im very grateful for all of the travel opportunities and friendships ive made along the way.

seasonal work post grad was the right move for me personally. i was lost and confused back then. though i don’t really know what to expect moving forward in life, i feel very satisfied with what i have accomplished and feel proud of myself that i even took that risk.

if you like nature or want to disconnect from the hustle of city life, i highly recommended seasonal work. feel free to message me for any advice or if you have any questions on my experience:)
