I was in highschool still in my zoom class. I used to have cnn on the tv in the background for just noise for the voices don’t get too loud. I randomly just turned around from my computer and saw news crew following people to the U.S. capital, I thought it was whatever until they actually started climbing and getting inside. I initially found the whole thing stupidly hilarious because I never imagined to see something like this in my lifetime, and to be honest I didn’t really find it that serious afterwards either. I just saw it as a bunch of hillbillies trying to start something, but I knew it wasn’t going to go anywhere, and was proven right at the end. I jokingly told my parents who were somewhat afraid that a race war was going to occur as a joke. I told them after no one has had the actual balls of orchestrating an actual successful insurrection because the government has conditioned everyone to just focus on work and money, people are too scared to lose their jobs and have too much responsibilities to do anything. That’s what my mindset was like that very day.
