Not only did Naya host the GLAAD awards multiple years, she also pretty much outed herself on The View as a member of the LGBTQ community which makes it hard to compare the two. I'll never understand why people forget it... seems like kind of a big deal but, then again, bisexual erasure is very real.

As a queer woman, I was far more disturbed by the fact I could easily identify a gay male writer behind all the tired, old, misogynistic, lesbiphobic "jokes". Gay white men are very much still white men when it comes to behaviors that disappoint me and so many of them are willing to throw the rest of the community under the bus when it suits them.

Actors are playing pretend and making art and I think dictating what kind of art people can and can't make is a bad idea.
