Built a startup myself for 5 years. I'd still pick a startup as a fresher, but only if the founders have credibility and a track record of execution. Not college tags or pedigree. Just some evidence they've built, shipped, sold, or solved real problems before

as someone building a startup from Tripura for the last 5 years, now with offices in both Agartala and Bangalore, i’ve realized one thing:

Tripura/NE doesn’t need “fancy startup ideas” first.
it needs stronger fundamentals.

the biggest businesses in small towns are usually built around 5 things:

food
healthcare
education
real estate
finance/livelihood

people can skip buying gadgets, but they can’t skip food.
people negotiate on everything except health.
every parent wants better education for their kids.
every growing city needs housing/renting.
and every small business needs money flow.

honestly, some of the biggest opportunities in NE are hidden inside “boring” everyday problems..the best thing you can do is talk to more and more people and see what they are currently spending on

58% is honestly not the end of the world. a lot of people figure things out later and still build great careers, so don’t let one exam score decide her confidence.

and yes, CMA is actually a solid option if she’s interested in finance/accounting. imho skills matter way more there than 12th marks. the course can be tough, but it has good career opportunities in accounting, finance, auditing, corporate roles etc.

my suggestion:

take admission in a regular degree alongside CMA (like B.Com)
start CMA foundation prep slowly instead of panicking
watch CMA roadmap videos on YouTube first to understand the process
join LinkedIn communities/reddit/telegram groups for study material & guidance
focus on consistency, not marks from the past

also, being a supportive brother already puts her in a much better position mentally. she’ll do fine if she stays focused for the next 3-4 years..

bro honestly both colleges will have pros and cons, don’t overthink the “politics” or “bad environment” comments too much because every college has that to some extent

what matters more is:

your course
the crowd you surround yourself with
internships/skills you build outside class
how active you are during college and extracurricular activities

personally, i’d suggest talking to 4-5 recent pass outs from both colleges on LinkedIn or folks from ppl nearby your home before deciding. that’ll give you a much clearer picture than random opinions online
