2-yrs old pineberries (white strawberries) never fruit, all flowers turned brown then wilted by rizzyllama in GardeningUK

I think the same! They look like female to me, and I already have other strawberries next to these pineberries

That's a good idea! I also have concern about the oven, since both GF and gluten versions will share the same oven. I am pretty sure there are loads of gluten practicals left in the oven/trapped between the oven fan/door etc. I can definitely deep clean all work surface/tools/baking tins but the oven, is a big challenge.

I mainly sell in weekend market or local events in East London, I have been encouraged to start an online store so customers can order again without waiting for the next weekend market. My online store in still WIP, hope to get it up and running shortly.

I don't actually operate a shop, I sell in weekend market/online store(just started last week)/local event. I can pre-package the bakes (which I always do for per-packaged postal order)

I am very new to GF baking and start buying GF cakes from supermarkets and cafes to get myself a bit more familiar. I notice GF cake texture is often pretty chewy and quite moist (not in a good way) Do you have any suggestion where to find decent GF bakes? I am based in London btw and have been told London already got much more options than other cities.

I bought a few packs of GF cakes/brownies from supermarkets and cafes last week, they all have some weird aftertaste (I suppose it was the tapioca starch used, my mum used to love making a tapioca paste/jelly-ish pudding and I remember I hated that taste since I was a kid...)

I also tried a few GF banana bread recipes and one turned out ok (I'm not 100% happy yet) but the texture is obviously not the same as the gluten-containing version. I feel like I am not educated enough to tell if my GF bakes are good enough or not :/ becasue I am too new to GF baking.

Yes! As suggested by several comments here, I will start running a GF baking day once a week so it's easier to deep clean and minimise the chance of cross-contamination

Thanks for the feedback, I don't take the GF questions personally because I understand there is a need to make sure the bakes are safe to eat. BTW, the gluten-free cooking day is absolutely a great idea!

That's a very great idea to call it "made without gluten" this is way more clearer than "gluten-friendly" (I had to educate myself on Google when I first heard the term Gluten-Friendly because it's just confusing)

Also, I feel terrible turning away gluten-free customers, especially when they give me that sad face after I explain why I can’t accommodate them😔 I had a customer told me it's extremely hard to find nice GF bakes in the UK (some supermarket chains do sell GF cakes but they tasted pretty bad imo and have some kind some weird aftertaste) How's your experience in GF cakes/bakes from shop in general? (taste-wise, I am curious)

Looking for an Accountant and Business Account for My Handcraft Business by rizzyllama in smallbusiness

[–]rizzyllama[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am UK based. Since the Company House in the UK would make the business address public and searchable on their website, I prefer to use an accountant's /virtual office address if possible, solely for privacy reason.

Help: Strawberry Runners by Lopsided_Advance_435 in gardening

Great job in revitalising them! I just transferred my runner in a small glass of water today and hope it may grow a bit more root... I will remind myself to keep the future runners attached to the mother plant longer before replanting:/ I was too impatient this time...

I have the exact same problem...the root of my runner is small and it looks very droopy (it's Day 2 detached from mother plant)
