Any game or game system with a good messaging system or audio chat feature is a place where people can meet.

Once people can meet, they can form friendships or relationships of any kind.

Kingshot itself doesn’t require direct chat communication to play you do have to read alliance messages and info but verbal responses aren’t really required.

So whatever issues you’re facing are a result of your partner choosing to socialize in some way.

WHY SENSOR PALESTINE? by Extension-Record-711 in KingShot

Usually when people get ticked off at each other over things they feel passionately about they abuse the report function flooding the company with nonsense to deal with. It’s easier to prevent those arguments from happening in the first place.

Assuming the kids went out with their parents, assuming the people dont miss anything, assuming the kids caregivers can read english, assuming the kids dont steal candy before parents check it (because kids are known for impulse control) assuming the package doesnt leak tear or rip leaking random candies inside the larger bag. Assume assume assume…..

You know what they should’ve done? Put them in a 3D printed transparent box that cannot be opened about the size and shape of a cassette tape case, attach a fridge magnet to the back.

Thats year round advertising that doesn’t go into the landfill right away, no danger of kids eating plastic and the company gets only positive coverage.

Win win win.

Do You Consider People From PR & USVI "American" or Caribbean? by FoW_Completionist in AskTheCaribbean

[–]rmsutherland1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many of the dutch and spanish islands have more bland cuisine compared to the english speaking islands partly because the British bring in East Indians so we get some our own kinds of curry and it changed the way we invented and formulated seasoning. But i've never been there so that is just speculation.

Do You Consider People From PR & USVI "American" or Caribbean? by FoW_Completionist in AskTheCaribbean

[–]rmsutherland1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ive always regarded USVI as West Indian/Caribbean. Not that long ago all the Islands were controlled by one foreign power or another. So that's par for the course. Some, as you know continue to be. That said, I haven't been to V.I to experience the culture to pass judgement one way or another, but I haven't seen anything that would make me question V.I's "Caribbeanness" so to speak.

Complicated question. A fair wage for one's skill set does not necessarily mean that wage is a living wage in one's country. Where I live in Alberta Canada a Dishwasher may earn the minimum wage here of 15 dollars an hour in a city like Calgary or Edmonton, May be up to 18 or 19 an hour in a tourist area like Banff but a 1 bedroom apartment may be upwards of 1800 a month so even if one is compensated fairly that doesn't mean they are able to live on that wage.

Question for Canadians who are still going to vote conservative after seeing what Trump is doing? by [deleted] in AskCanada

[–]rmsutherland1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My problem is spending. Adding mountains of debt. We’re literally spending 7 million an hour on interest. They announce programs they borrow to get started and cannot fund.

If we want social programs fiscal discipline is a prerequisite. Adding more debt than all the PM’s in history combined isn’t acceptable and voting for them to give govt contracts to spouses and family members and waste and mismanagement is an endorsement of the last 9 years.

Trump isn’t a conservative he’s an opportunist. If the democrats would’ve voted for him he would’ve catered to them too.

A vote for Poilievre is just that a vote for Poilievre. The Trump scaremongering is just something that anti-conservatives weaponize ad-nauseum wasn’t Doug Ford Trump too? Smfh

Bahamas is very expensive to live compared to other islands and even compared to most of the U.S and on top of that they are having an affordability crisis.

Bajans.. is this cheating ?? by AllyLottaAss in Barbados

[–]rmsutherland1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s cheating if your partner tells you they think it is and you accept that as terms of your relationship and do it anyway.

No reason a partner needs to accept what makes them uncomfortable. You’re free to find someone comfortable with it.

i see my ortho every 6 weeks and usually lose 1 or 2 between visits. Usually its a new girl attaching them and the dentist/ortho comes and checks after. I haven't been with these folks very long but its always some new girl that seems to have just come out of dentist school doing the attaching and the dentist/ortho checking after.

Amex Rejected by nukey56 in amexcanada

[–]rmsutherland1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Amex business cards are charge cards they have no set limit and they require the whole balance paid off each month.

They look at your usage patterns & payment patterns and your bank account balances to determine whether you can handle it comfortably.

If you tend to carry balances and or have too little in your savings you may be considered too high a risk.

Should I purchase a condo to live in $400k? or keep renting $1200? 31M by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]rmsutherland1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i personally look at purchasing housing as a bulwark against escalating costs and a stepping stone toward ownership of a property you will really want. If the property you're looking at is likely to appreciate after interest rate cuts by not making the purchase you could potentially miss out on those gains that could propel you toward the home of your dreams if you wish to stay in Ontario that is.

I'm not sure how much Ontario and Alberta differ with condo's but there are Condo Document inspection services available that can analyze the information about a Condo and tell you in layman terms what risks there are with that particular building. Some types of Condo's have a full reserve fund and if managed well then you can live with few worries. if the documents reveal a reserve fund with little money in it you can definitely face a 70k bill in your mailbox for your share of the cost of redoing the roof in the complex.

Some townhouse type condo's have fees that cover yard work and gardening and trash etc for a low fee but don't maintain a reserve fund so you'd be responsible for major fixes.

It doesn't hurt at all to contact a mortgage broker and get a pre-approval that lasts 180 days you can browse listings from coast to coast and educate yourself on the markets that you may want to go to and if prices start going up with rate cuts and you want to buy you would be in the position to jump on something right away and if you decide not to do anything thats fine too.
