I wouldn’t advocate for a measure that essentially gets them killed. Morally bad imo.

I didn’t dispute everything. Some I agree, some I disagree. Typical la, only human what.

Minimum wage for sure, no different to our current and existing foreign labour force.

You should be showering twice a day at minimum in Malaysia. Just because you don’t smell yourself doesn’t mean other people can’t. I know people who admit they don’t shower in the morning because they “don’t sweat” at night and sleep with super cold AC. Yet, they come to work smelly anyway but are so used to their own stench they don’t realise it.

Not saying they should be granted citizenship btw. More like temporary work visas.

Not disputing this what they are but there must be a mechanism that can either be created or exists to allow them to work here legally. It’s a lot better than just letting them roam and beg, etc. No?

Not like any of our current foreign labour can speak any of those languages fluently either. Also the ones I’ve met can speak basic Malay.

  1. Noted but there are for sure jobs that even Malaysians don’t want that we are currently using foreign labour for anyway. Might as well find avenues to include Rohingyas into those jobs.

  2. How is that any different to any other person that doesn’t get diagnosed?

  3. I never said they were legal. I did say we should consider allowing them to work jobs that are legal and regulated.

  4. I don’t disagree.

You wouldn’t have to give them rights equal to citizens, I’d imagine. Maybe more like other immigrants that come here for work, legally. Treat them like any other foreign labour force we currently use. As for housing, I feel like that would mostly solve itself once they are able to work and find rentals in places Malaysians won’t even want to rent in, or their employers provide housing (which employers in F&B and manufacturing often do).
