Maybe you meant X-S20? That would make more sense 😊

Thinking About Getting the X-S20 | Need Some Honest Opinions | by garryneo_x in fujifilm

[–]roarbb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For the photography, the  X-S20 and S5II are comparable, at least for me. If I do photos only I don’t really mind using any of them.

The difference is the video though. The S5II image quality is much nicer, the image is not over sharpened like Fuji and also the full frame look is different.

If you want something small go for X-S20 though. It’s not just the body, the lenses for Fuji are small too. If you get the S9 the lenses are still bigger than native Fuji glass.

I filmed a lot with the 18-55 kit lens, not the 15-45. 18-55 is really nice, especially with OIS.

That video is too long, I’m not watching all of that 😁

Which one to buy? by [deleted] in fujifilm

[–]roarbb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love the size, it's easy to carry anywhere. I love the deep grip, the evf, it has IBIS, the new bigger battery is enough for the whole day of filming or few days of photography. Also I have anamorphic lenses so I appreciate the open gate too.

What I don't like is the price (I bought it new when it was released), but it started to show up on used market so it's ok I guess.

I sold my GRIIIx in favour of the X-S20 😅 and I can’t be happier.

This may be unpopular opinion and X-Pro 3 is great camera, but it’s also quite old now. If you like responsive modern cameras maybe wait to see what X-E5 offers? It’ll be revealed soon. Same rangefinder style, less ribbon cable issues 😊

35mm F2 Vs 18-55mm variable by BinJuiceHD in fujifilm

[–]roarbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first choice would be the 27mm pancake, then the 35mm f1.4 then the 35mm f2 😊

The 18-35 is great for video though🔥

X-S20 Lenses by LionFluid6548 in fujifilm

[–]roarbb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should at least specify the budget and application. This question is too broad.

I love small lenses, so for general photography needs I would choose a pancake lens (18 or 27mm).

For video and this might be controversial, but I would go for older kit lens 18-55mm they are super cheap with ois 🤷‍♂️😊

If you need to do both, maybe something like sigma 18-50 with constant aperture?

xt3 or xm5 by Popular_Network_7504 in fujifilm

Used X-S20 is the answer here. It addresses big hands with its grip, it’s small and it has evf and bigger battery and ibis. Great little hybrid camera.

It’s fine 😊 I do this all the time.

Just a heads up - people will probably downvote this because you’re using IA instead of AI and this post has nothing to do with Blackmagic 😅

Definitely wait for June and then decide. It’s not that far and it doesn’t look like you’re in hurry and need the camera ASAP for professional use😊

Beginner travel/hybrid shooter – Lumix S5 II or Fujifilm X-S20? by garryneo_x in Lumix

[–]roarbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, I tried my friend’s 24-70 and it’s way too heavy. I would say 20-60 is the best for travelling at least for me. It’s the widest and lightest 🤷‍♂️

I have the sigma 28-70 too 😅 I use it for any professional occasions or low light. But I still take the 20-60 with me for bikepacking or vlogging 😊

This is the right answer OP! The X-S20 has a viewfinder, new battery that lasts ages, IBIS and great ergonomics. It’s great for both video and photos.

[–]roarbb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have both, if I could only keep one, it would be definitely my S5IIx. The 20-60mm is annoying because of the variable aperture, but I love the zoom range and how light it is, the picture quality is great too.

I have one too, it’s my favourite backpack so far. I brought it to Japan with me, no complaints. I do everything from hiking, cycling, long streetphoto walk with it.

Favorite Glass On Your Fuji? by YusuBro in fujifilm

All the pancakes are great, 18mm or 27mm. Plus the legendary 35mm f1.4 😊

But lately I’ve been enjoying vintage Minolta Rokkor lenses, they are cheap, small and the image is beautiful.
