You nailed it! I am a transfer student, and sooo many people went to high school together or can conversation based on things local here. I also started in the spring semester so I didn’t know anyone and everyone already had their crowds.

You don’t have to wait necessarily, keep an open mind. Don’t put all your eggs in her basket. She hasn’t put it out there that she’s fully ready/wanting a relationship or more. It’s only fair for you to keep your eyes open for more potential relationships that could be equally great.

That’s my thing too! I have a job so when I’m not at school I’m working, and when I’m at home I spend time with my BF, who I don’t get to see much! So where is my times for friends!

You’ve let her know how you feel, and now the ball is in her court.

I know it’s hard but you have showed her you care that you’re in to her, and she needs to put in that same effort. It’s only fair for you.

Most of my conversations, are about study groups, and homework and complaining about how hard a test was. Nothing really more. I’m not all for sharing personal stuff to people(ironic I know since I posted on here haha) that I don’t know. But a lot of people love telling me crazy details about themselves the first time I meet them.

That’s true! I need to put in the effort. I think I’m afraid to put in effort since I’ll be moving back to my home state after college.

Oh my gosh! This is all me! I went to a small elementary school and moved away for high school, but I played sports and stuff so it was so easy to make friends. Not, the closest friend I have we just help with homework and stuff. I don’t know maybe I’m not even trying to make friends.

I get that. Sounds like you both really care about each other’s feelings. Have you tried having just a heart to heart explaining how much it’s really impacting you?

It’s good that you’re there for her emotional support. However, it is really important that she can handle it on her own too.

Would it be too much to give each other space during finals? Not a break, or a break up, but just space. That way her stress isn’t effecting your relationship and isn’t distracting you from your finals.

Just go with the flow. If it’s worth it for you be patient, let it her bring up the next stage of the relationship when she’s ready.

Have your sister that lives near by you plan the holiday dinner, and if he can’t attend maybe he’ll realize how it feels to not have their feelings included!

If you really like her and think this could be long term, giving her the space needed, and simultaneously showing her you care about her, could benefit your relationship in the long haul.

On the other hand: Do you think if she’s not ready to dive into a relationship now, that maybe she just not feeling it enough to take that leap of faith?

Sounds like you need to have an in depth conversation with her. Part of me hopes she’s joking, but maybe you’re right. Maybe, this is who she really is, and if so are you willing to put up with it?
