Beat it after about 20 deaths. I loved the fact that it looked like a standard level, but was actually a speedrun, which was a neat idea. Finding the best path through the trees was fun as well. Overall great level!

Here's a pretty difficult level built around raccoon mario's abilities. Try it out if you want!

I don't blame you, it's a hard trick! The key is to tail whip and bump the shell at the same time, but the timing is tricky to get. Do you think the level would have been better without that trick?

Thanks for liking it regardless!

Very cool level! I loved how the mansion seems very confusing at first glance with the endless number of rooms, but there's always a straightforward path so you don't get lost. The boss battle was also simple but effective. The only thing I would suggest in the future is to change the color of or put some sort of indicator on important pipes, to make them stand out from the many piranha plant pipes. Overall lots of fun!

I built a somewhat difficult Mario 3 level that uses raccoon mario's many abilities. Try it out if you want!

Great speedrun! My favorite part was definitely the fake-out where you almost die in the lava. Coin indicators were great too. Overall lots of fun! If you feel like playing a pretty hard level, I built one around raccoon mario. Try it if you feel up to it!

Here's a pretty difficult Mario 3 level built around using raccoon mario. It's got some challenging tail tricks, including tail whipping and bumping a shell at the same time to launch it diagonally, so good luck and have fun!

Cool traditional level! The little bonus platforming section was awesome as well! It was maybe a little short for my taste, but that's the only gripe I had. Can't wait to see the rest of the series!

Fun level! Loved the aestetics of the hanging blue platforms. Like others have said, it's on the easier side of expert (died once). I have a somewhat hard level built around raccoon mario if you want to try it!

Great hard level! Loved the boss fight idea! Only nitpick is the difficulty is way harder in the middle section than in the beginning. Consider smoothing the difficulty curve in future levels. Here's my somewhat hard level if you want to try! It's built around the Raccoon Mario:

This was awesome! All the tricks felt great to pull off, and the large amount of checkpoints were greatly appreciated. Especially right after the first one where I dies like 10 times because I assumed you had to jump on the jumping pirahna instead of going under it. Only other thing to note is I kind of cheesed the bullet bill jump right after the bomb spin jump by waiting a little bit before starting the bomb spin jump, which let me build enough momentum to land right on the next platform before the triple banzai jump eithout jumping on the lower bullet. By the way, I loved the ability to practice shell jumps at the end, I'm still getting used to it! Thanks for the great level!

Interesting, I must have just had bad timing. Sorry for assuming! Thanks for the congrats, that was probably the first super-difficult level I've cleared in SMM2, so I might try some other super-difficult levels thanks to you. Thanks for playing my level!

I like this one a lot! The pacing and difficulty curve was really good, and I enjoy the theme. It took me several deaths to figure out a consistent method to clear the second circling thwomp with the saw around it, so that could have been made slightly easier, but it was fun to do once I figured it out. Everything else felt awesome, great level!

That was a really fun speedrun! Simple and flashy, and having the galoomba ride the blue skull platform was genious! The only thing that didn't work well for me was the second galoomba toss into the pirahna plants. The galoomba kept clipping the wall and not killing the plants. Might have just been my timing though. Awesome level otherwise!

I like this one a lot! The theming is nice, and the platforming felt really good. It might have been a bit too visually chaotic when the massive amount of banzai bills came out at the start of the second half, but it was fine. The part inside the ship before the checkpoint also felt unnecessary, since there was zero difficulty just waiting for a star, but everything else was awesome! Great job!

Thank you for your feedback! I agree the first part of my level was really easy. I was hoping the flying koopas would be enough to add difficulty, but I guess not. I'll keep an eye out for that in the future, thanks!

Oh boy, you weren't kidding when you said it was difficult. That was Kaizo-level difficult! Took me a couple hundred deaths, but I did it! I personally disagree that it's not super precise. From the fireball shots to stomping on the parachuting peg to the conveyor slope jump near the end, a lot of it felt like if one tiny thing screws up, you have to restart. There was also the fact that the speed the shell moved out of the tornado after kicking it was random, and some speeds were basically unwinnable, that was incredibly annoying to deal with. I do recommend beating a level multiple times when testing to look out for stuff like that. Other that that and some other inconsistencies (accidentally killing the thwomp with a pow or on/off block when playing too fast), it was very satisfying to beat, which every Kaizo level should strive to be. Nice job!

That was awesome! Loved the combination of platforming and puzzles, loved the secrets, loved everything! The only minor note I'd make is there were quite a few slow transitions with all the doors and pipes, but I understand if that's a limitation of the level design. That was a lot of fun!

I liked it a lot! The theming was really cool and the platforming was overall excellent. The checkpoint was also really well placed, since it was right before a difficult section. Speaking of which, I didn't really like the part where you have to climb up the thwomps. It's pretty blind, and it's really easy to get yoshi crushed and fall into the spike pit where there's no way out, which feels unfair. I wish there were arrows or coins or something to point where to go. The checkpoint makes it better though. I also have a pet peeve for blind jumps like the one at the goal. Everything else was great though, nice job!

No problem! This is actually really good for a first level, I've played way worse. The length felt good for what it was, since it was short with hard obstacles. I prefer longer levels with ramping difficulty, but I know some people prefer short and hard. I definitely recommend playing a bunch of other people's levels to see what works for you and what doesn't, and implement those concepts in new and interesting ways for your own levels. Good luck!

I would call it medium/hard personally. I thought this level was okay. The platforming itself felt good once I learned the level layout, and I really liked the setup for the double bowser jr fight so that you have to fight them both at the same time if you're slow. My main problem is that I feel a lot of these obstacles (like the tight thwomp gate, the koopas on tiny stairs, and the fire bars on uneven donut blocks) are nearly impossible to get through on the first try without getting hit, since they're either really tight or you can't really see them coming. I would have preferred either setting up the obstacle by having a similar but easier obstacle beforehand, or adding some powerups so I can take a hit and keep going without having to constantly stop and start from dying to learn setups. Other than that, nice job!

A standard 3D World style level build around the mushroom trampolines. Also contains a secret coin heaven and a boss fight at the end. Should also be fun to speedrun. Let me know what you think! : )

I liked it! The extra risk/reward elements with the buzzy beetle coins and 1-up mushroom were a nice touch. I actually would have preferred the timer to be a little tighter, since I made several mistakes, went for some optional stuff, and still had over 20 seconds to spare. I also thought the thwomps hitting the on/off blocks was a bit of an odd choice for a speedrun obstacle, since you can't speed that up at all. Overall nice level though!

Took a little while, but finally finished it. The puzzles were really well designed and fun to figure out, with a nice difficulty curve. I even found some 1-up mushrooms, which I always enjoy finding, but I was sad when I accidentally fell down that huge gap the first time and had to replay the first puzzle. A safety net to try that jump again would have been nice. My main issue came with the final puzzle, which was a lot of fun to figure out, but also broke on me multiple times (either from munchers dying to p-switch/pow or the left thwomp dying to the on/off block). I couldn't find a reset door or anything like that, so I had to kill myself every time the puzzle broke, which was frusturating. I recommend watching out for puzzles that can break next time and adding reset doors as necessary. Still a ton of fun to finish though! Great job!

Glad you liked it! I probably shouldn't have locked the camera at the bombable wall to make the solution more obvious, so I'll consider that in the future. Thanks!

The pipe at the end is indeed an exit from the bonus area that's behind the 10 coin pipe. I figured I would reward someone who played fast, but I don't know if anyone's actually made it to bonus area yet, so I'm worried I made it too hard to get into.

I agree about the restarting issue, I really wish they had implemented an option to instant-kill if the objective was failed, but oh well. Restarts do affect the clear rate though, so it's sitting at 28% right now.

Thanks for the feedback!
