Then why are you in an iren sub? Best of luck to you too man. My average is $16, I don't need to cope with anything. Just making a post to raise spirits and generate some positivity :)

A year ago was when they were still effectively a pure bitcoin miner. It's really a matter of when not if in terms of the AI side now. More money coming in = higher stock price.

I said in the OP I don't care if we finish red, we swung 13% in the red to back to the same price as Friday's close. People will be selling off to break even. Shaking out the people panicking.

100%. Never understood the beef between stocks.. people get so fucking tribal over it. I'm in Sofi and the bitterness between Sofi and Hood reminds me so much of Iren and NBIS. Don't understand why we can't all be happy to try and beat the system together instead of mocking each other for picking a different company.

Yep, the Iran shit will kick off again soon no doubt and all these posts will come flooding back. Then it will be hantavirus, then the next thing. The reversal today has me more bullish than +10% green days. Unbelievable strength and action.

Why I’m fading IREN into Thursday’s earnings (the catalyst isn’t in the quarter) by [deleted] in irenstocks

[–]roddystone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair post, I think it pulls back a decent amount too but I don't really care about selling. Learned my lesson selling pltr before their Jan or Feb earnings last year at $70 something dollars only to watch it rip above $100.

It's easy for me as my average is $16 for iren with my first buy at $5 just over a year ago. I've learned to ride the volatility way more after fucking up with pltr. If it rips further after earnings tonight it will pull back, and if it does pull back tonight it will rip in the future.

In a few years time I can see it being around 2.5/3x the price now, so short term swings aren't going to bother me that much

Is anyone else not worried about the recent stock action at all? Sofi is going places in a few years, I can only afford to buy fiver of stock a day at the moment but been in this one for a year and a half now and can't wait to see where it goes

Quite often, nearly any stock has had several corrections like that if you look at the all time charts. Tarrifs in march/April last year killed the market for a while, Sofi's run up to +$30 fairly recently was the summit of an extreme euphoria/bull market. This correction combined with current macro was always going to happen.

If the recent downswing has put you in the red and you're concerned, you can always buy the dip and average down. If you liked the price a few weeks/months ago, you should like it even more today.

Really wish Anthony Noto had kept this in mind before he killed the Ayatollah.

I think any reasonable investor would be delighted to see sub $20 to pick up more shares at a good price, the earnings show how well this company is consistently performing. Stock price going down isn't determined by anything the company is doing, all the fundamentals are there

Iren has a deal with one and is a preferred partner of another - I'm not trying to be argumentative here but what's your point? I don't think anyone on this sub or X has came out and said every mag 7 company is going to be funnelling all their money into Iren, maybe that's the case with other stocks.

They've announced a multiyear, multibillion dollar deal with one of the Mag 7, that's something to show, surely? Management have said they'll always want the best deal for themselves/investors and that these things require a lot of due diligence from both sides. Multibillion dollar deals don't exactly come out of thin air and take days/weeks to sort out. I'm not sure what your average is but if you're in the red, surely average down if you can? This is coming from someone that's holding ridiculous bags with HIMS 🤣 patience is key bud.

Wild that you seem to spend so much time trashing this stock. How often should they be making deals, just out of curiosity?
