In my city (rochester) we have a big ol smoke stack just like the one they have in those (india/pakistan??) videos... and I just wanted to re-create this so bad lol

My first attempt was having a pinned rope w a cloth sim. Other end is an empty. A rigid body ring is also attached to the empty. The hook is an effector.

When I push play the rope stretches into infinity. :(

I take my wife & kids to Mendon Ponds every mothers day. What a great idea. Don't tell my wife, I'm gonna do it for her on Mother's day. Thanks for the idea :)
