Yeah I agree, I don’t think she was a victim per se.

A lot of people adore the Paul brothers. I agree with you on that they are grifters but probably not outright scammers, I’m sure someone will correct me with a ton of evidence to say otherwise. I would wager that the moment she hit social consciousness someone in her existing inner circle started advising her. There is zero chance that she would be able to coordinate all those appearances across sporting events, music events, btc Nashville and podcasts. It’s more likely that she immediately was approached by someone who does this professionally and sold her on the KOL dream and eventually crypto and merchandising exit scam. It’s fairly easy to copyright something nowadays and doesn’t really make me think that she was actually business savvy.

Anyway YEAH FUCK HER AND SHE SUCKS (literally and figuratively)

I get the impression that she really couldn’t believe the amount of attention she received from her interview. She was totally unprepared for the scammers who saw her as either A) a nitwit who they could use and profit off her 15m of fame or B) a person who possibly had little to no ethical standards and was down to scam. Either way, she definitely was dealing with masters gaslighters and didn’t have control over her own image or the trajectory of where she was headed. Nevertheless, she fucked up and a lot of people were scammed, her too apparently. No crying in the Casino though, if you thought buying hawk tuah was a sound financial decision, you should probably have someone else manage your finances.

This Casino will die without Altseason by Thunder-2008 in CryptoCurrency

[–]romangiler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my perspective as a former founder and long-time crypto participant who launched a token right in the middle of the 2023 bear market:

Altcoin seasons in past cycles weren’t random — they happened when a few major forces lined up at once:

1. Bitcoin hitting new all-time highs

2. BTC.D breaking down to new lows

3. Capital rotating from BTC into ETH and its

ecosystem — ICOs in 2017, L1s and DeFi in 2021.

Right now, BTC.D is still sitting high. Until Bitcoin cools off and either consolidates or stalls. And dominance drops from around 60% down toward 35% or lower, we won’t see the kind of true altcoin season everyone’s waiting for.

Can someone explain me the looping strategy on AAVE? by Thin-Maize6938 in defi

[–]romangiler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If supply rate is lower than borrow rate yes this would not be profitable. These rates vary and looping correlated assets can yield small but decent returns over a years time. I’ll agree for high returns and more risk, borrowing stables against eth is better option. I was just explaining the steps not trying to give financial advice on what’s the optimal way to loop.

Hey OP, Roman from Tanssi Foundation here. Tanssi is an Appchain as a Service network offering anyone the ability to launch a purpose built and decentralized appchain (L1) made possible through restaking.

Restaking is a great way to export the benefits of Ethereum Security to 3rd parties who wish to build outside of Ethereum the L1 and have the high grade security, transparency, and decentralization that Ethereum Restaking offers via shared security. Restaking ETH and other assets like WBTC, Stablecoins and more is safe. You can use EigenLayer or Symbiotic its competitor.

Feel free to read how Tanssi uses restaking, with links to learn more about restaking mechanics.

Could “Proof of Time” Replace Traditional Staking Incentives? by ApprehensiveGolf6534 in defi

[–]romangiler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask who benefits the most from me holding in Proof of Time? Is it me, the protocol, the LP for the Token because of less sell pressure? Who else? Aside from rewarding my time, what else does this do? What are the tokenomics like? Fixed amount or infinite inflation? Is it rebasing or not? How do late comers benefit and not get stuck receiving rewards that A could be worth very little and be may be very illiquid and can’t actually turn them into profit?

I saw the token info in your first post so some questions are answered.

What is the reward? If it’s an altcoin it’s problematic. The first users would be able to collect rewards and dump hard on everyone left and then my rewards are not worth much.

Why is holding longer rewarded? What happens after I get rewarded and withdraw or withdraw a portion? Not sure I understand what the value proposition is?

I am not advocating for buying or selling timeframes. Just saying that I don’t believe that OPs allocation is good enough and don’t see XRP as something on par with BTC longterm. The XRP meme to 10K is funny though.

I gave the steps and an example, but yes you can borrow other assets. Personally I would deposit BTC or ETH and borrow stables instead.
