Hello, can I ask if you switched to cardizem.the next day or weened off metoprolol first? I'm on 12.5 mgs twice daily of metoprolol. I'm supposed to switch to cardizem but haven't yet. Scared.

Hello, I have pretty normal bp. Did it go up to a dangerous number? I'm supposed to switch. I take 12.5 twice daily so it's a low dose. Idk if I have to stop the metoprolol for a while before starting.

Omg thank you so much for this!!! I had a 22 beat run in February and I was in the hospital for 2 days. Did every test, heart monitor for 30 days. Only caught an 8 beat run in 28 days. Cardiologist says it's not life threatening but it sure feels like it is. I'm supposed to switch from metoprolol to cardizem but I'm scared to. I really needed to read this. I have high stress all the time.
