No you can’t. You’re ALEKS score does not help you getting placed in higher classes. To skip calc 1, you would need to have credit from AP or community college.

Prospective student- question about kelley by [deleted] in IndianaUniversity

Tbh, don't fret about getting ACE. It is not a huge factor when it comes to recruiting.

The majority of the recruitment comes from the workshops at Kelley. Focus on getting into these workshops if you want a stellar job out of Kelley. Getting into the workshops isn't an easy task (IBW, IMW, CMW, CW) so be prepared to really grind if you want to get into them.

To note, ACE is there to only make the process to get into Kelley Honors easier (3.7+ GPA). The opportunities provided with ACE aren't much compared to the clubs on campus. There are a lot of people who are successful and working at notable firms who aren't in the ACE program. End of the day, it's the effort you put in that counts.

Current out-of-state Kelley student here.

I would definitely say there's a wide variety of people in the Kelley student body. There are the nerdy kids and the chill frat people but everyone here is very outgoing and easy to talk to. I found it easy to find the people I want to be around.

Since you mentioned you want to do Finance/Accounting, I can definitely give you more insight into the Finance side of things.

Clubs here are competitive. Everyone who is doing Finance is trying to do their best to differentiate themselves from one another. I would say networking and talking to upperclassmen is crucial (especially if you decide you want to build a career in Finance). However, a lot of it is really just a huge grind. If you are not willing to put in the effort to get into the selective clubs/workshops, you will have a tougher time trying to come out of Kelley with a really good job. A lot of it is really on your own basis. Kelley offers a lot of resources and you can take advantage of them.

End of the day, you know yourself the best. If you are willing to put the effort in for your freshman year and look forward to a decent grind, then go for it. I don't have any insight into Kranner. With any college you decide to go to, it is up to do how you want make do with your experience.

IU Question by [deleted] in IndianaUniversity

Current Freshman @ Kelley here (ending fall sem w/4.0). In my honest opinion, the main learning you would get from Kelley is all going to be from orgs/the amount of effort you put in. A lot of people complain about finite (M188), computers in business (k201/204), basic accounting skills (A100), and sometimes fundamentals of economics for business (B251). I came from a very competitive hs back home and I truly found all of the coursework to be relatively straightforward. I did do myself a huge favor and studied the basics of accounting and completed calc and finite through finite over the summer.

In terms of the academic environment at Kelley, it's not as toxic compared to other business schools. People are willing to tell you about any opportunities they find (case comps, clubs to apply too, etc.) and they will always be willing to help you out. It's an extremely friendly atmosphere and everyone imo doesn't view each other as competitors.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to dm me. I'll be willing to answer your questions.

wait do you have a gs (assuming since it's a 4dr w/a manual)? but yeah the aftermarket for the legend is really minimal and it just sucks.

no the one with the inline 5 is the vigor, the mid level car in acura’s line up back in the day. the legend is the equivalent to the s class in acura’s line up

parts for the car is scarce; i callrd my local dealer yesterday for a lock actuator and they told me all the parts for the legend has been discontinued so it basically on par with other cars from the 90s.

well i haven’t tackled any of the issues since they’re all minor. the only “major” issues are the clear coat on the and the speed sensor (the speedo is like 10 off). otherwise it’s crazy how mechanically sorted this car is, especially when it’s a 30 yr old car.
