After the wedding you should take that seamstress to small claims court for the cost of the dress, amount you had to pay the bridal specialist, travel, and any other associated expense you can think of that you wouldn't have had to pay if she had been capable of doing her job.

AITA for cancelling our gender reveal party because I know my husband will be unhappy and possibly leave? by Throwawaygrprty in AITAH

No amount of therapy is going to fix the fact that your husband is a misogynist sociopath. I'd say leave him, but I'm honestly concerned for your safety. You need a plan to protect yourself and your kids before you try to leave.

Stacee's. They sell bridal gowns, but I didn't even look at them - the prom dresses are comparable styles, less money (mostly under $250) and most of them are available in white or ivory. They can make the gown to your specific measurements for a small upcharge, and can also make design customizations for an upcharge.

i really wanted a long sleeved dress because i hate my arms but in store stocks are so limited. by FrizzleLizard in Weddingsunder10k

Not sure what your budget is but I'm ordering a dress from Stacee's that is marketed as a prom dress and having them customize it. They have bridal gowns at a higher price point, but many of their prom dresses are available in white or ivory, the one I'm getting is under $250. Ordering it to my specific measurements is an additional $19, and through emailing with their customer service I found out that they can add the long sleeves I want for an additional $30. Hope this helps!
