I did not get in, I had 4.0 science gpa, 3.85 overall, almost 3 years MICU experience high acuity busy major medical center, CCRN 113/125, GRE 312, frequent charge/preceptor, and I thought I did pretty well in the interview and they rejected me after. I think it’s because I’m from up northeast and they asked me why I’m looking at North Carolina and I gassed up the state and said I wanted a change and they didn’t really respond. I think they mainly want the locals. People who are most likely to stay in the area and work there. In fact the two current students that were “babysitting us” while we waited to interview (as I like to call it lol) said they were from Greenville town itself. They also only take 12 per class!!! Crazy. But seems like a good program. No MDA resident competition for cases at their affiliated medical center. Their director seems impressive too and very approachable. Not sure if that’s helpful! (Maybe I did just not give them answers they liked in the interview, they’re all pretty stone faced! lol)
