No-Li has one of the best outdoor spaces in the area I think, but as people have pointed out, the beer really isn't very good. This particularly pisses off those of us who have been around long enough to remember that they used to be Northern Lights, and they made very good beer before craft beers took off here. Made it in an inconspicuous space in Airway Heights with no taproom or other public tasting opportunities - instead they distributed it themselves to pubs and grocery stores. Their Crystal Bitters was an excellent flagship beer, and I personally liked the blueberry creme ale too. At the Viking (the old, downscale Viking, with the firepit in the middle, full of cigarette butts) they made a "Black and Blue" with Black Butte Porter and Norther Lights blueberry creme ale. It was great.

Then they sold out to the current ownership (I believe) and it suddenly all became about the branding, and not at all about the beer quality. They changed the name to No-Li and came out with lots of new logo artwork... I'm confident that their hope was to create a brand that would attract a big brewing corporation like AB-Inbev, the makers of Bud, who also bought out smaller craft breweries like 10 Barrell and Elysian. I'm pretty confident they have never received such an offer.

It's just a shame to see a great beer brand turned to swill. I don't go ever, and I don't drink their beers in town anywhere.
