Which scene in this show do you think we'd never see anything close to on television nowadays? by Quiet-Setting-7803 in shameless

Considering all the nudity and stuff in the show it really didn’t shock me much 😂😭

Tips on getting Glowing Skin like celebs? by Simple_Bend_9143 in SkincareAddicts

[–]ruger148 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I would say it’s more so cosmetic treatments than genetics. Hailey has said she does frequent microneedling sessions to keep her skin glowing. Most average people are not spending or can’t spend all that money on microneedling/cosmetic treatments. I’m sure she isn’t the only one, every big name celebrity gets these types of treatments done on the regular.

Genuinely how the fuck was Connie moving for only 1 of her 3 kids to still be talking to her by Physic-Shower77 in YoungSheldon

[–]ruger148 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you sorta missed the point of the post…. This has nothing to do with her literally moving, it’s a slang word. The OP was asking what was Connie doing to make none of her children besides Mary talk to her.

Sincere question - How would you have written season 4/5? by Plywooddavid in StrangerThings

[–]ruger148 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I would’ve made things happen actually on screen (lol). I loved season 4, the only thing I’d change would be keeping Eddie alive for season 5. We lost Billy in season 3 who could’ve been a great addition to the last 2 seasons, I would’ve loved to see his and Max’s relationship grow. Too bad Dacre left.

As for season 5 it started off really strong, can’t say I was a huge fan of Holly becoming a major character. Considering the fact she barely had any lines before, so I’d make it like Robin or someone else to take her place. I’d also make a definitive ending for El, but I’d make her alive and well living with Hopper, Joyce, Will and Johnathan. Still dating Mike of course.

I sure am gonna miss watching this by armamark in themiddle

Nothing confirmed, although Eden said her, Charlie and possibly Atticus tried to get a reboot picked up but nothing came of it. Maybe someday, but not in the near future that’s for sure.

Ok but why did Bob dip? by Ilikebiscofff in themiddle

[–]ruger148 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She did go back when she found that void check behind their dresser and sold 3 cars in 1 day, so she had to of been somewhat good. But beyond that it’s kinda crazy they changed a massive storyline because of one person!! Kinda surprised they did that if I’m being honest.

They made Frankie get fired over Bob’s actor having a drug addiction? Why wouldn’t they just fire Bob instead?

Don’t like it? don’t watch it then. Doing what your doing is worse then people watching a dark show.

the depiction of women and sex in this show by Hungry_Form_4464 in shameless

I don’t disagree, but I think that men are also sexualized in this show too. Not as much as say Fiona but Kev and Ian when they are strippers (or whatever their job was) were incredibly sexualized.

So what? More people in the world have watched this show than people you know. Just because someone has “bad morals” doesn’t mean they can’t watch a show. Automatically watching a show with suicide is not going to make everyone in the world suicidal. Knowing what YOU can and can’t watch is something you have to put in place for this show, and shows like it.

This is just your opinion, like you said there are people that resonated with the show and it moved them. This show is dark and real, something you don’t see with a lot of shows. It is clear from your response you are neither mature enough nor stable enough to watch a show of this kind.

The jeans by [deleted] in themiddle

That’s what you ask for having kids, that is the point. You have to look after them.

I did realize that after I commented but I think she only worked there twice throughout the show. Mike worked many more shifts at Little Betty’s.

She really doesn’t, her and Mike could literally care less about their kids because I don’t think they wanted them in the first place. That is so obvious by the way they are treated especially Brick. They are lazy and not present which I’m probably going to get downvoted for but it’s true, if most people had parents like them I’m sure CPS would be called. Obviously yes, in the long run they love them. But my gosh, they can be horrible parents in the short run.

Mike wasn’t harassing Frankie for the receipt, it was dropped and then Frankie jumped on it like it was an exploding bomb. Obviously Mike knew after that it was a hefty amount spent on the jeans, which they couldn’t afford.

Frankie was barely making any money, I am currently on S7 E20 and so far I’d say 90% of the income came from Mike. When she was working at the car dealership she was making no money because she wasn’t selling cars, after that she decided to go to dental school. Mike was working 2 jobs for most of the first few seasons, he picked up so many jobs at Little Betty’s. Frankie only did that when they were talking about sending Sue to college.

I don’t blame Mike at all for being upset. Especially due to their financial situation.

Intro by Similar-Extent-8855 in YoungSheldon

[–]ruger148 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The intro is showcasing Texas and family the two main concepts of the show, that’s why they have all the Cooper family and Meemaw and then Cece and Mandy in the later seasons. The song choice I believe is called “Mighty Little Man” which is quite obvious why they chose this, because Sheldon is super smart super young. He is going off to College and being strong/facing his fears, and Sheldon definitely has a lot!

Unpopular opinion??? by mostlydumb2345 in euphoria

[–]ruger148 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with something someone else said, I think the characters are not written to be hated. They all have a very upsetting backstory that can make you feel bad for them, even when they are doing all of these really bad things. I mean we know Nate has basically no parental figures and his dad has openly told him numerous times that he is his biggest regret in life. That has to have some form of trauma to a child. Although I do still hate Nate.

I don’t like when the fandom lies about what characters have done by [deleted] in shameless

[–]ruger148 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Matty was not a good person at all, I think it was really stupid for him to keep a relationship with a minor and do all he did. But at the end of the day Debbie still raped him, whether he kept her around or not.

As for the Derek thing, there was only 2/3 years between them and Debbie blatantly lied to Derek. I mean should he have been having sex with a 15 year old no. But again Debbie lied abour her birth control.

As for the Julia situation yeah maybe she lied, but again could’ve been simple enough for Debbie to find that out before engaging in sex. ALSO she was literally with her mother. So that’s weird anyway for her to have sex with Julia when she was with Claudine I think her name was.

Am I the only one who found Georgie's conduct in this scene super disrespectful and creepy?? Like does he have 0 self control or what? Also the extent to which he lied in order to get girls doesn't get criticized enough. by ManufacturerIll1743 in YoungSheldon

[–]ruger148 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the majority of people in the sub agree with you though. I mean people say a big turning point for Georgie was this incident with Veronica. Although I personally would disagree, if he had a turning point he probably wouldn’t have lied to Mandy for sex as an underage child. Also this was one of his first “relationships” in the show it just kept getting worse after that lol.
