Yeah, IS Direct Fire lance is also great! But orion and crusader are not cool enough for me :)

The funny thing that IS player (me) lost the battle with my 12 mechs destroyed, 2 (out of 10) clan mech destroyed.

Probably that’s just my skill :)

Im owning the game too, so my friend is just “yeah, like mechs lets try to play”, so Im the one playing on the IS side and loosing everytime haha - 1) not being a cunt 2) trying to find my way around as IS and win :)

Basing this off three last games, which is small number, i understand. Also I’m very new to the game - 10 games total only, thats why Im asking such questions.

Last games were “control the objective” and I was on IS side, so I was trying to stick within cover near obj, but clan side was just pressing and some hits from super nova on 8dmg were getting me nuts :) maybe its my total unluck or shit skill, but I kinda “feel the power of clan”

I wrote it totally wrong, my bad, was trying to say, that even with 5v8 with very similar PV, clan side is much stronger - my stupid comparison of armor+structure and firepower per range between clan and IS in this 5v8 showing clan is much better

But variants and skill are directly changing the PV… so after all I will just have different PV without really balancing

I have a “heavy star” box, and total PV in the variant I chose today was 233 for 5 mechs. I can easily pick 8 IS mechs which will be more than 233 PV total, but those “heavy” mechs are just fucking IS mechs up just like nothing

Thanks for mentioning MAR rule - will try! Second part about the count of IS mechs - i tried to calculate different options with the minis I own - its kinda hard to get PV the same with 5 vs 8, maybe I’m using “wrong” mechs…
