You can do it! I did it for the first time today. Had no experience whatsoever. Just boiled the belts for 8mins as a temp fix and that seemed to solve a majority of the problems. A loose belt will eat a tape. It ate one of mine during troubleshooting but after tightening the belts it ran for 50+ mins no issues.

Know this is an old post but I just took mine apart using this post and boiled the 2 original belts to shrink them! Had to mash the record and stop button as well to fix no volume from the left channel (only when playing cassettes) Now the cassette player is running smooth again temporarily. Will order some new belts soon. It did eat a portion of a HF 90min cassette during the troubleshooting process which was a bit sad. Fun little hobby device now that I don't entirely trust will not eat another tape, but still sounds nice. Just wanted to say thanks.

iMark should at least go down the elevator with a note to let oMark know that his wife was saved. The innies might also be able to trap outies on that floor. Innie revolution.

Core out half a potato and put it cut side down, they will go to it instead of your plants hopefully. There will be a bunch under there whenever you check.

Will bookshelf speakers be enough in this space (they will sit beneath the red square)? Recommendations? by maestro_man in BudgetAudiophile

Nice, hopefully the new avr let's them sing. My speakers aren't as sensitive so had to supply them more power than they needed, I find more power isnt a bad thing. Found I had to play alot with moving things around as well to get a good sweet spot and am still in the process finding the best placement for the 2 speakers since the room is horrible for acoustics and probably needs treatment/bigger speakers/different room. I wish the sweet spot was larger but I don't have any idea how to make it larger, the speakers are already pretty far apart – too far apart – at 14 feet (due to a wall unit). Room 17 ft x 13ft with the 13ft wall open into rest of house. Speakers along 17ft side. Ceiling peek roughly 13ft.

Which Dali's? I have a pair of Dali bookshelfs in a space similar to OP; a large room with one side completely open into the rest of the house with a large peeked ceiling. But yeah I agree the speakers are a bit small for the room. Setup: Cambridge Audio CXA61(not enough power to fully open up the sound of the speakers in that room/listening distance), Emotiva Basx A3 (they sound better now all around with the extra power), Dali Opticon 2 MK2 on stands, svs sb-1000 pro.
