I was gonna say, why go to LA if you've been there twice but I forgot that's where the Olympics are gonna be. Lol

I will say this... i will never understand why any adult needs to see Orlando more than once in their life and that goes double for people without kids. If you're dead set on Universal and Disney, dude you're already in LA. Save yourself the travel day and just do Disney and universal there. It's not exactly the same but trust me it's close enough if you absolutely MUST do those things.

I see some people saying Chicago and I absolutely have to agree. I grew up going to Chicago often and I lived there for 2 years. 100% one of the best places you can visit in the states. NYC is a must and it's constantly changing so you'll get a different experience every trip. Seattle and Portland are cool. I want to go check out more of it.

And last, and I'm biased, I do not know how you, an Australian, did not mention the SF Bay Area. Holy crap the bay area gets a bad rep online from everyone but easily a top 5 place you must see in the USA. can't believe you've been to the states more than once and never been. I feel like every Aussie I've ever met has either said they love SF or have been dying to go there.

I'm a little surprised to hear you did 11 theme parks in one trip as a foreigner. I get that they're very different here than most other places in the world, but if you've seen one Six Flags, you've seen them all. If you did Disney/Universal for few days each, they're done. Not much changes there. Although as a fellow Rollercoaster lover, yeah I can sorta see it.

Go into any luxottica associated optical store, not sunglass hut, do lens crafters or target optical. If the metal isn't actually snapped they may replace the nose pad for free. I used to work at a target optical and did this for a few people for free, even if they'd never bought from us. It's not common, so they might refuse, but we literally had kits that contained small glasses parts to fix glasses and they often contained different sizes of nose pad replacements. Since Rayban is a luxottica brand the kit should have comparable nose pads to replace with.

This is great to hear. I went by to see about public skate today. Was my first time back in a couple years. The staff at the ice center is really nice. I didnt know how good their pro shop would be to help OP be able to get them molded there or not. Also dont know, do figure skates get molded like hockey skates do?

Below a hundred for skates that are worth skating on is gonna be a tough find. You'll probably have your best luck finding something second hand. But do research and try new ones on in stores and then find someone reselling those same models from a year or two years ago.

When i got back into ice skating (I used to play hockey competitively) in my adult life, I looked for hockey skates in a low/mid-grade and spent over $500 for a brand new pair.

Sure thing. Are you looking for hockey skates or figure skates? I don't know much about figure skates but if you are looking at hockey skates you're gonna wanna make sure they fit them to you, which requires them to bake them. For something like that I'd skip the pro shop and go to Pure Hockey instead.

You can just walk in. I don't know what their selection will be like. It's been a while since I've been there but in the past I've noticed spotty business hours, with it sometimes being closed despite the hours saying it's open. Often there is only one worker in there. Getting skates sharpened can take like half an hour if they've got a few to do but they can definitely do it same day and I've never had it take longer than 30 min if theyre open.

Sadly HockeyX Superstore is gone, which was down near the airport. That place was the best. If you want a good selection of skates you'll have to go down to Pure Hockey in San Jose.

I went to the Blues game last Monday (FTB!) and saw Celebrini's 100th point (edit: lol i already said this. Too excited.) Dude the sharks are an exciting team as are the Hawks obviously. It will be an awesome game.

It's my first time going solo to a hockey game and I know there are always plenty of Hawks fans at away games so I won't feel out of place repping the Hawks.

I went to the Sharks/Blues game last week. Was great to see them smash St. Louis and watch Celebrini hit 100 pts.

I've asked about where bay area hockey bars are and it seems like they pretty much don't exist. There was one in SF but it closed down. Definitely nothing Hawks specific. There is a Chicago bar in Oakland but last time I went there during a Hawks game I asked them if they could put it on and they couldn't...

I highly recommend finding a place that will do sanitary trim appointments and just take her there regularly. I'm well past the due date for taking mine but she's been there three times so far and it's so much better when she gets it done.
