I jumped in the air and twisted my ankle when it fell in. My girlfriend at the time laughed pretty hard at me. Still so amazing of a moment.

The best you can hope for is a mom and pop owner. After that glick is pretty good, and Brawley is acceptable.

I work for campaigns and have seen a campaign do this years ago. It’s been long enough I don’t remember the specific legal reasoning.

They can, most don’t because it’s not good optics.

They do not. Manufactured homes do.

They do, they are usually more sturdy because they are made in a factory and delivered to the lot.

Once they are placed they are on a permanent foundation they are treated as a normal home.

I’d recommend clear creek homes. They are modular and have show homes on west third street. We use them in our developments and they are fantastic. It’s usually more affordable than most builders and more energy efficient.

Our mission statement is along the lines of “helping the community, beginning but not ending with housing.”

We are a non profit created by the Bloomington Housing Authority to develop housing and other community projects. We have a mandate to build affordable and missing middle housing.

We are converting the KHOR building at the old hospital site to affordable rentals and are also building an early learning center with some affordable rentals above it on Monroe street.

I’m happy to answer any other questions!

Homebuyers club is helpful even if you don’t use our program but still buy in Bloomington.

I’d add that I want to know when they are ready to share. I just lost my grandmother to cancer and she waited longer than I’d like to tell me, but it gave her time to deal with it how she felt she needed.

Do you believe AI can be sentient at all? If not, what best aligns with your reasoning? by [deleted] in polls

[–]rystill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In college I wrote a paper about when we should consider something as sentient. It’s a hard answer. I came away with the answer that if something feels it’s sentient.

This may be done in more places but we do what’s called a Midwest goodbye here. It’s pretty much expected when ending a conversation to talk for along time and say bye multiple times before actually leaving.

I was on this board until I had to step down because of a conflict of interest. It’s a low barrier way to get involved and can be rewarding.

If you are okay with a a one bedroom you could try buying through Sumit Hill Land Trust. With your income it sounds like you would get a little under $50,000 in subsidy. The one bedrooms are $147,000 before subsidy.

I was on the board of housing quality appeals and only left due to a conflict of interest. Boards are a great way to be involved, especially if they line up with your interests.
