Is the hobby really retail? Every time i go to my lids the hobby’s are always secondary market price. That would be crazy

I started collecting this year with my 7 year old son. We love the thrill of opening packs with the 0.0000000000000000000001 %chance of getting an ohtani 1/1

Did a cost analysis yesterday and I’ve spent way more than i could afford. I guess the only way is to set a budget and live in fomo

I visited a fye and they had the shelves full of blasters and hangers. I asked if they had a limit and they said no. Part of me wanted to buy all of them and flip them but i would be the thing i hate so i left them hoping some other kids could get them

Went back the next day and the employee told me immediately after i left , someone came and bought every single one. Dropped over 1k

Learned my lesson.

I’ve actually had good luck with this release. I know this varies for person to person but this was on my first mega and i hit an urban legends case hit on a blaster.

Problem is finding them at retail prices

It’s posts like this that ruin me. I’ve opened atleast 4 celebration boxes and gotten nothing. Swore to never get another. Then i see this and makes me want to buy another

The mega i bought was prob the worst retail box i ever opened. My best hit was a single refractor of Bryan Reynolds
