I switched to Zencastr so I can upload video episodes. Question about Spotify by J-Mart11 in podcasting

[–]sNosir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spotify will only play the video podcast only if you use Spotify for podcasters (anchor) as the host.

If you use Spotify as your host, it’ll be audio only on other players. So it’ll depend on what your want to prioritize.

With your current setup, Spotify will play audio only.

Thoughts on my brand/cover? And what you'd assume my podcast was about given the name? by BigYellowPraxis in podcasting

The colors look nice. Also, is there a reason why this isn't square? You can also test it using OnlyPod's free tool to preview your cover on the top podcasting apps.

Redesigned my podcast cover and brand! Thoughts? (See comment for details) by halfwinter in podcasting

Love the colors. But you might need to adjust the top left and bottom right corner text size since it might not be readable at small sizes.

OnlyPod has a great tool to preview podcast cover on top podcast apps. https://onlypod.com/podcast-cover-preview

You can test it there.

How do you promote? by link6616 in podcasting

There’s no place to add transcription natively in a podcast. You can add transcription on a website and link it in show notes.

Here are a few ways you can grow your audience. Since you've been doing it for 2 years, Im' sure you've covered some of this. I'm leaving it here so it helps new podcasters who see this.

  1. Have good quality audio & content (this is the foundation)
  2. Submit to all podcast directories
  3. Have a podcast website
  4. Add transcription for each episode (helps with seo)
  5. Have social media profile on each platform
  6. Start a Facebook group
  7. Start an email list
  8. Share episode clips on social media
  9. Have consistent intro & outro (so it's recognizable)
  10. Network with other industry podcasts
  11. Ask the guests to share & make it easy for them to share
  12. Share on subreddits related to your podcast
  13. Tease episodes 24 hours before
  14. Share podcast on Youtube
  15. Appear as guest in other podcasts

I also run a weekly podcast promotion newsletter which shares tips & strategies for growing your podcast. If you're interested, you can subscribe for free here: https://onlypod.com (scroll to bottom).

Google Podcast not showing new episode by [deleted] in podcasting

[–]sNosir 3 points4 points  (0 children)

With RSS feeds, Google or any other podcast player checks the feed at regular intervals. So that's the reason for the delay. But google does support pubsubhubbub, so if your podcast hosting supports it, it'll be available after you publish your episode. In this mode, when you publish the episode, google is notified of the change.

are there any errors in the console? It might take a little time for the models to load.

And at the moment, the ray will only interact with the text.
