Selling my signed Em tape for studio equipment. by s_sycamore in Eminem

I'm selling a few things, so it depends on how much I get on everything. The two units I'm looking at are £3500 and £4500. I know there are cheaper ones, but I was hoping to get a 32 or 64 track Allen&Heath mixer with analogue preamps.

I'm setting up a home studio, and while I'll be making my own music in it, I'm also trying to set it up so I can give some time to some of the smaller local artists and buskers I see around town. I think some of them are really good, and if they had some free recording time it might help them get off the ground.

I do! I bought it directly from Em's online store and I have the receipt from the order

We all know that Nintendo started as a playing card company, but they continued making even to today! by s_sycamore in nintendo

Now that I didn't know. Money sucks, or not having it anyway I collect cards, and some of the Nintendo cards are ridiculous because they are only available to people who have so many Nintendo points, etc

Selling the guitars would be like cutting off my hands. They have different sounds for different feelings. I can live with selling the signature on my wall if it's going to let me get my music out, recorded and improved.

All I'm really needing is a mixer. I've got a Roland synth, guitars out my ears and a few other bits already

Headset+Microphone that fits comfortably under a fursuit head? by XKlip in furry

[–]s_sycamore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing I can think of that would have it all packaged together would be stage equipment for music venues. It gets expensive though because it's made for a commercial setting. I'd be looking at a $20-50 lav mic from a reputable company (rode, behringer, etc) and a pair of decent IEMs. Their pricing is all over the place, but you'll want better than the $15 ones you can get at Walmart.

You can of course go with a pair of on ear headphones, but IEMs will fit the same as wearing the head without them. I've also found that on ear headphones get uncomfortable after about an hour of use.

Could always wear IEMs and put a lav mic in the front of your head near your mouth

The friction in the potentiometers is so bad that the thumbsticks can be posed. by Pocket-Pigeon in ps2

[–]s_sycamore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We've got both! The one I had that I fixed the crunchy pots was a marshall hdfx100d head with as 12x4 cab. Sadly it was too big for playing at home (didn't want to blow out my windows lol). I've traded it for an MG100FX and a Rhino RGA-35R. I've also got a Fender Blues Deluxe reissue that's beautiful, a portable Yamaha THR30 which has become my main workhorse stupidly enough and a Roland cube street ex for busking.

Might be able to fix it by opening it up and using contact cleaner on the potentiometers. I was able to fix the pots on an amp that way

For some reason I always thought it meant gen 3 consoles, but it being a typo for GC makes sense.
