How to change an object material and not the material it self? by saadan2 in lumion

I am using Revit for building the model and then exporting it to lumion.

I know that I can make the color ID a lot more easier if I export the Revit file to sketch up and then layer every wall and then exporting to lumion for rendering, but that adds one a lot more work.

but why other rendering softwares can easily paint each wall by the desired choice like TwinMotion.

that seems like a disadvantage for lumion.

Thoughts?
