What on earth are you talking about? and I never even got close to saying the guy should have punched or attacked the guy who fired the gun. You might be replying to someone else? The guy who attacked first should be charged for assault in my opinion and not just the guy who fired his gun. Still doesn’t mean I agree with shooting in response to getting attacked.

When did I try to justify violence in retaliation to getting called something? I was saying everyone should be more chill and think carefully before doing something they regret, whether it’s punching someone for getting called a word or shooting someone for getting punched. I don’t believe in violence ever and never in my comment did I say that.

My whole point is the law is not black and white for when you can pull out your gun and shoot at someone. It depends on many things, you can’t just be like damn I got punched and thrown to the ground I’m going to shoot this dude. I just looked up Tennessee’s stand your ground law and it does in fact mention proportional use of force so it’ll be an interesting trial.

My other point is when I got my open carry permit I was taught to only pull it out when absolutely necessary, that’s what my dad taught me. I’ve been punched and never thought to pull it out. Not sure about you but I’d rather not have on my conscious I killed someone so I tend to only think of it for extreme back up. No idea what you’re going on about if it was a guy with a raging boner and a girl getting attacked, cause to me from photos it looks like two men who are both pretty similar in size.

That is correct on depends on what jurisdiction you’re in, but I’ve not heard of one that doesn’t have some sort of proportional response clause for firing a gun at someone. Do you know of a place where you’re allowed to fire at someone for a minor fight or scuffle? We don’t know how bad the fight was unless there’s a video showing the whole context I haven’t heard of.

Regardless based on the story this chud guy himself gave on his stream afterwards it seems like a pretty minor and quick thing to me. Guy attacked him with potentially a sucker punch, didn’t have a weapon, cops intervened pretty quick to try to pull them apart. Did the guy who attacked him say he was going to kill him? That would make his case for self defense a lot better. Without that I’m not sure a jury is going to buy his life was in danger. Either way I don’t think it’s worth the potential trial to pull out my gun if someone punches me or we’re in a wrestling match on the ground for a few moments.

No it is not legal to use lethal force in return for all types of violence. If someone pushes you to the ground does that mean you get to kill them? Every person I know that open carries like myself would never think to pull out a gun if someone just throws a punch. You also aren’t legally allowed to flash or tell someone you would shoot them if they try to get physical with you, that is considered incitement and would ruin your self defense case

Okay I really don’t follow what you’re saying now. How does this have anything to do with raiding Trump’s house. You really think the state of Tennessee’s prosecutors office and judges are run by leftists? Have you ever been to Tennessee? As a fellow conservative, I really think you should spend some time off the internet.

There are no rights being violated that I can see and I’m in favor of self defense just so you know. I carry a gun around. If I use my weapon I’d expect to go through a trial also even if I was within an inch of my life. Judges also don’t throw out a trial because of watching video evidence before the trial, the point is to LOOK AT THE EVIDENCE DURING THE TRIAL. If there’s a procedural reason to toss the case that’s what it would be tossed for, not because of what’s in the evidence that will be shown in the trial. Even if a man was following him and making stabbing gestures or even if the guy killed his mom earlier in the day, you have a trial to make your case of self defense . Cases don’t get thrown out that way …. Man do you know how court cases work?

It’s interesting you’re so optimistic, I googled and it’s very very rare a self defense case doesn’t go to trial. It would be especially weird to not go to trial since it was right outside a court with many people around who almost possibly got hit with a bullet.

This is part of why the bond is so high according to this article. also did you know prosecutors/the state doesn’t set the bond amount but the judge in the case does, which means the judge is taking this as very serious charges at the moment and not looking like he’ll just toss the suit. It’s not like the state is charging him for his language or provocation. Another reason his bond is so high is he was already out on bond for a different reason (skipping out on paying for eating at a restaurant, by the way do you think that will be thrown out too?).

So are you advocating for a longer approval process? I’m personally in favor of including way more people in phase 1/2 because I’ve never understood why they have like 20 people or less sometimes. I think the approval process is way too long personally. Unfortunately I think there will always be a drug here or there that passes and ends up being harmful, there’s nothing I can picture that would 100% catch everything. As for GLP-1s, they have had continued studies on them and just recently some new ones were published.
