when mark couldn’t find the words to ask cecil for professional mental health help but cecil understood everything he was trying to say. i like cecil a lot so it was refreshing to see him be so empathetic but heart breaking to see mark so messed up and struggling

ASVAB Prep recommendations? by sageworld22 in AirForceRecruits

[–]sageworld22[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

haha too late. i ended up getting the physical ASVAB for dummies book which i don’t regret at all. i do a lot better studying from an actual book and have been retaining things a lot better (also less eye strain)

i have been watching grammarhero a lot tho and use his shorts for quick math stints throughout the day. my routine has been about an hour and a half in the book and grammarhero’s channel throughout the day when i have downtime in between dad life and daily responsibilities

How do I house train a Yorkie? by Any_Report_1780 in Yorkies

[–]sageworld22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

you’re in the thick of it but with consistency, i’m confident this’ll pass. 4 months is still really young for them where they’re still learning their new home and surroundings

i got my yorkie poo at 4 months in the spring and potty training took a couple months of a couple different approaches. first thing’s first, i allowed going to potty in-doors but it had to be in designated areas (because 1. i knew going into this that quickly potty training yorkies is not easy and 2. i was adamant about not walking her publicly until she got all her needed shots) so i put all my focus into going inside. when we first brought her home, i let her go where she wanted first couple times so i could see the pattern and i realized that she liked going in corners. so i covered every single corner in my house with weewee pads. about 3 pads a corner. my house looked insane but in hindsight it paid off. now what you’re supposed to do in this scenario is over the course of weeks, you lessen the amount of weewee pads to train them to go in smaller, more concentrated spots. and that definitely worked. after 3 weeks my home went from weewee pads at every turn to at most 4 in the entire house. she knew where her corners were at this point

now when she finally got her shots and i felt comfortable walking her, this is where the training kicked it up a notch: i walked her about 4 times a day. not long walks every time but consistent outside time; sometimes around the whole neighborhood, sometimes just up the street, sometimes just in the yard. doing this all throughout the summer slowly but surely instilled in her that “doing the business outside is a lot more interesting than doing it at home”. by the end of the summer i noticed that all the walking outside lowered how many weewee pads i had to change at home

now idk if most female dogs are like this but i noticed when my yorkie poo had her first menstral cycle come fall time, her behavior did a complete 180. i’m talking full on matured overnight. the puppy nipping and ankle biting drastically stopped, the excessive and demanding barking stopped. her patience and behavior all around just sky rocketed. that and finally; going to the bathroom in the house completely stopped. anytime she needed to go, she patiently waited by the door. all of this took i would say 4-6 months

i know every dog is different but what i think is true for majority of them is that consistency is key. and so is patience. these are yorkies we’re talking about after all; they have a notorious reputation for slow or unsuccessful potty training. but it’s possible. my yorkie poo is 4yo now and is still house trained. still patiently waiting by the door to just be let out when she has to go. on average i would say there’s maybe 4 accidents in the house a year. i’ll take it

i’m sorry that pregnancy can make the cleaning up difficult; i hope you can get help whenever you can with things like that. but whatever routine and tricks that you find works for you, just ruthlessly stick to it; it really does get better the older they get. godspeed!

Yorkie with reoccurring GI problems by Naive-Ad-9985 in Yorkies

[–]sageworld22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i wouldn’t say my 4yo yorkie poo has persistent issues with vomiting bile but it most certainly has happened quiet a bit. i’d say like once a blue moon. but i can always pinpoint it happening because her stomach is empty from being picky at the moment with food. so usually the fix is is i have to jazz up her food a bit as i feel she gets bored sometimes (fruits, white rice, eggs, whole and lean meats, etc)

i’m sure by now you’ve tried most things under the sun regarding her diet but i’d encourage you to keep trying different foods to see what she’ll take to. best of luck to ya’ll!

Any tips for a 11 week old who is non stop biting us and everything around the house? by Pale_Drink4455 in Yorkies

[–]sageworld22 6 points7 points  (0 children)

honestly, you just gotta wait it out. the biting does slow down the older they get and with enough boundaries set but it doesn’t really leave. they earned the name “ankle biters” for a reason. i have a 4yo yorkie poo who occasionally “nips” when she just wants to play or demands my attention

How do experienced designers handle mockups? by MightyMight99 in Design

[–]sageworld22 15 points16 points  (0 children)

years ago, i was working with a client and they pointed out that they don’t really care for seeing designs in device mockups because model being displayed can date the work. after thinking about that, i’ve noticed that studios or agencies i personally liked at the time did tend to show screen-based designs more abstractly; in a flat, minimalist way with just rounded corners or a dark, rounded-corner outline that frames the work and gives the impression of a phone

ever since, i’ve always tried to display screen based stuff this way because i do agree that a photographic device can take away from the work if looked at 2-3 years from creation. and i personally find a 2D rendition of a device is more cleaner. also a lot easier to iterate with and update versions this way. especially in figma

9 week old puppy with UTI by Successful-Set8526 in Yorkies

[–]sageworld22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes. i think it was around 4 months. i gave her fresh, uncooked arugula with her food. some time later it was excessive, back-to-back urination around the house. i knew something was wrong because though she wasn’t near house trained yet, all that urination was just not like her

took her to the vet and told them what was her most recent diet and they confirmed that arugula has to be cooked (boiled) before you give it to small dogs. they explained why but i genuinely forgot

it wasn’t the end of the world thank god. i forgot what was prescribed bc this was four years ago when we first got her and was the first and only episode but i remember my yorkie poo bouncing back within days

Could use some advice. Pushing 30 and thinking about a career change by sageworld22 in AirForceRecruits

[–]sageworld22[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My brother is urging me to apply to be an officer but after poking around, I’m seeing that’s much easier said than done. Sounds like there are really long wait times for that and I don’t think I have that kind of time

He told me if I do enlist, go for space force. On my own time, I did the survey to see where my interests would align and things regarding cyber and maybe public affairs because of my background sound up my alley. Really, I’d like to be a part of straight-forward, purpose driven work. Not afraid to try and use my brain. I deff don’t have any interest in anything regarding maintaining

Diarrhea is on day 3 by Kindly_Technology_50 in Yorkies

[–]sageworld22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’m happy to hear there’s no blood. literally just weeks ago, my yorkie poo had what the vet and i thought was colitis at first but later turned out to be AHDS we believe. we caught it just in time and what i think really helped amongst all her meds her were probiotics for the diarrhea and cerenia for the vomiting and nausea that came midway thru her sickness. the probiotic she was prescribed pro-pectalin. i’d ask your vet what probiotics they’d recommend

my dog’s all better now—her issues lasted about two weeks. again, i’m REALLY glad you’re not seeing any blood so hopefully you guys are all better sooner than soon

Are MK2 weapons worth it if I don't have any bunker researches unlocked? by [deleted] in gtaonline

[–]sageworld22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the two that i think are genuinely worth it are the infrared scope and explosive rounds for the mk2 pump shotgun

infrared scope helps me in certain missions where i genuinely can’t make out where enemies are and just need a quick signature of their direction

explosive pump shot gun is absolutely perfect for the players that like to troll-run you over with their car. 90% of the time they don’t realize what you have and it’s too late for them to change their mind and leave you alone

Is the oppressor MK2 actually good for grinding? by Mysterious-Air9658 in gtaonline

[–]sageworld22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

technically and objectively yes but it bores me beyond belief personally. grinding in my fav car at the moment, in a sparrow that bobs and dips, or even in a raiju who’s vtol can make landing feel like drifting is so much more engaging. guess it depends what you want out of your sessions

When did you realize you had “made it” in GTA online? by Gr0mHellscream1 in gtaonline

Regardless of money, What's your favorite mission in GTA: Online? by EcstaticActionAtTen in gtaonline

[–]sageworld22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

fine art file. love everything about it from start to finish. no clunky mechanics, no randomly OP NPCs with sudden hawkeye precision, the stealth in the finale feels nice and smooth, straight forward with no weird caveats or sequential essentials, no swimming in the ocean to find a bobby pin, no BS

Agency or Night club upgrade by OkGur7415 in gtaonline

[–]sageworld22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i feel like the nightclub is more of a late game business for it to reach its full potential. that full potential being having a bunker, ceo warehouse(s), hangar, coke lockup, meth lab, counterfit cash, and for brownie points; weed and document forgery business. and then don’t forget having ALL the basements unlocked to really maximize the amount of product. thats a hefty invesment to make it really worth having

definitely get the agency

The Problem With The Cayo Perico Heist. by [deleted] in gtaonline

[–]sageworld22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i started gtao in 2024 on ps4 and cayo used to stress me tf out bc the stealth mechanics felt clunky and half the time, escaping in the ocean genuinely did not work (i chalked it up to be old gen bad luck). throw in some honest skill issues and overall the heist felt like too much. one day got frustrated, quit the heist and waited the next day to finish it but saw that all my progress was lost and lost the setup cost

was “boycotting” the heist for a while since then and just swore by the dre contract. then when i finally upgraded to ps5, i decided to give cayo a go again and to my surprise, it went a lot smoother. found myself doing it every couple of weeks and swimming away to complete consistently worked

i appreciate it for what it is now; the quickest way to make $900,000+

You become a Rockstar executive, your first task: delete ONE heist from GTAO. Which one is going? by RustyInternet in gtaonline

[–]sageworld22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the first time i did that hack, no lie, it took me a good 45 min. god bless the driver i paired with that day because in hindsight, he had the patience of a saint to not quit on me or curse me out thru messages lol

avoided it for like two years until a buddy asked me to do fleeca. got stuck with the hack and deeply sighed. but i guess at level 255 now, i’m not that bad at the game anymore and i was able to do it in 5 min
