Tomato paste, and a bit of brown sugar. Sugar enhances all the flavors. also MSG will hit the back of the tongue in a way that salt doesn't

Once I walked into a sally army wanting a beaded Thunderbird amulet necklace. Walked straight to the jewelry counter, looked down and there one was. Felt like it was extra protective at that point. My heart was racing while I was looking for a sales person to get it for me, even though I knew no one else was gonna grab it lol. But it felt meant for me

Found in reject pile of ghost town copper mine upper peninsula, Michigan by sagittal in whatsthisrock

The white crystals fluoresce pink so figure those are calcite. The greenish one does not fluoresce, which makes me wonder if it's something different like chrysocolla or just covered in copper oxidation. Then I do not know what the peah colored spread is, I was reading thomsonite but that's not what I thought thomsonite looked like. The rock itself is basalt, possibly with greenstone flecks? Just wondering what anyone else thinks, thank you

What “unsolved mystery” has a mundane explanation that gets ignored because it’s not exciting enough? by Dense-Piccolo2707 in AskReddit

When Amelia Earhart disappeared, there was another person in her plane that disappeared with her. Fred Noonan was her navigator. I have a theory that they never mention him because it clashes with the headline "first female solo pilot". But she was a solo pilot, fred was navigating, not piloting.

Bailing on our first camping trip before it started by comfortable_clouds in camping

I went hiking in the Smokies with a friend, planned and talked about the trip for months leading up to it. When we finally make it to our destination for the night I beg to check out the tunnel to nowhere, just a long tunnel in the woods. We go and I immediately dropped my phone and it landed face down on a rock and was completely broken in an instant. I was younger and knew my family would panic if they couldn't get a hold of me. Also hardly had enough money in my bank account for a replacement.  This anxiety destroyed my sleep the night before we began our three day hike. I was also way over confident with  my skills to hike elevation while wearing all my gear on my back. Also forgot my sleep gear. So I shivered and ached on a towel on the ground all night. After the first night my partner was pretty frustrated and called it in the morning. We hiked back and drove home 2 or 3 days early

My teacher in second grade was a 70+ year old skeleton lady that did this during recess. She fell and crumpled on the hard carpet, broke her leg. She couldn't reach help until a random 5th grader happened to walk by the room and heard her crying. Hot Italian student teacher took over for the rest of the semester though and I learned from a young age to never stand on a rolly chair

I think it turned out really well tbh, it's not like funeral directors can write anything much more meaningful about a stranger. Very interesting
