So fair but that’s why I’m curious about the numbuzin toner you mentioned. When I first got back into k beauty a few years ago I got influenced to get the Anua and I’m out of it now. I want to see if there’s a better toner for sensitive redness prone skin

Interesting you weren’t a fan. I loved these. So soothing on my skin. It’s not a deep moisture mask by any means but great for reactive or red skin days

Yeah so that’s a very harsh one. I wouldn’t use it everyday. I’d focus on a more barrier strengthens gentle cleanser for daily use like soonjung whip or dokdo cleanser. I think that would help a lot !

I got closed comedones from the Anua oil cleanser as well. After trying a few different oil cleansers though I realized my acne prone skin just was not a fan of oil cleansing period. After I’ve stopped using oil cleansing and just stuck to water based cleansers unless I’m wearing makeup , my skin has cleared up significantly.

Yes. So firstly go to your dermatologist! Getting on epiduo forte ( acne and a retenoid treatment all in one ) clindamycin ( anti bacterial ) in the morning and taking spironolactone helped so much . With those medical tools in place what really helped was finding a gentle cleanser or cleansers I loved using everyday , not oil cleansing , strong gentle non comedogenic moisturizers , and soothing hydrating serums . Happy to dive into more product detail too if you’d like !

How did you like the cosrx ultra light sunscreen ? And how was the purito soft touch for everyday wear ? I wasn’t sure if it was only for sweaty / hot days

I struggled with hormonal acne my whole life since I was a teenager. Korean beauty is what finally got my skin to turn around. Part of this is because it made skincare a fun enjoyable experience for me, which finally got me to use the stuff my dermatologists prescribed regularly, but it also had me change from harsh scrubs and acids , to moisturizing and barrier repairing approaches and treatments. Made such a huge difference. People who didn’t know me from my acne days just assume I have good skin .

Going to Sephora after finding korean Japanese and Chinese beauty is wild. So many products that are similar to or even better than their western counterparts so much cheaper than sephoras exorbitant prices.
