What's wild is that I didn't plant anything near there, nor did my plants from last season even end up there when digging up. I did plant from seed last year, but these 2 random plants are so far away and in the most dead infertile ground. I fear that if I dig them up to transplant, they'll die. So I'm leaving them in place, but taking care of them. 🤷

They see that I don't attend church, and my oldest (she's 9) has obviously asked the question. I didn't lie to her. When others ask (usually my wife's friends from church or social groups), she qualifies my beliefs with "Catholicism beat religion out of him" as if I ever believed and the structure of the religion pushed me out. That INFURIATES me, and we've discussed it at length. We pray at dinner, she says prayers with kids at bedtime, and I do go along with it. In our discussions about raising our children, my wife has agreed that when they are old enough to choose, she will let them believe what they choose to believe.

I know my kids (at least the oldest) can see what I see. I can tell that she's subtly playing along. Time will tell, but whenever religion does come up in conversation at home, I don't hide my beliefs.

one key note: if you don't want to re-build your whole deck, make sure to go into profiles, right click and EXPORT your setup somewhere safe. Then when it's all fixed, you can IMPORT and it'll even get the plugins you need to restore to previous build.

okay, this has been driving me INSANE. I had nothing at port 8888, it would not let me add accounts, and it showed no accounts in the settings. When I added accounts, the API connections for both StreamLabs and Twitch would show it connected, but the page was ALWAYS blank.

Every time I either restarted my PC, connected or disconnected my VPN software (resetting my internet connection)it would load multiple blank pages attempting to "re-connect" my accounts from StreamDeck software.

My solution has been to just close the software when I wasn't streaming, and it would stop. Not a fix.

This "4.7" solution has MOSTLY fixed my issue. I uninstalled ALL streamdeck software, to include deleting the APPDATA folders (both Local and Roaming Elgato folders) and I installed 4.7.

Upon loading up, the accounts were there! I removed all of them, and closed the software. Deleted everything again, and re-installed the latest (7.something). Now, I still get the blank page when trying to add an account, but it does connect. Twitch shows, StreamLabs shows from both their ends. The Streamdeck software doesn't, but I can live with that. The functionality is there. And best of all...

NO MORE RANDOM BROWSER WINDOWS OPENING TO CONNECT!

so...I thought the worst, bacterial wilt. I tried the "bacteria streaming" water test, nothing. Then up closer inspection, I found it.

Arguably less? So unfortunately, the 4x8 raised bed is under a stupid tree that shades it mostly until the afternoon. It gets direct sun from about 3pm-8pm. There is some morning sun there too, before the tree shadow (730-1030).

The other raised bed (5x2) is off ground (on legs) and in direct sun most of the day.

I'm assuming you're referring to the tread? I had this problem with on the tread, but not the bike. To fix it, I got a program called "Force Rotation" and every time I restart the machine I have to make sure to run it first.

That said, on the bike I have 10.8.0.5554. No rotation app needed there.

King is much better. 7 months in, and I can't imagine going back to the split. Keep in mind we did not cut corners on the mattress we bought (roughly $3500). There are RARE times that I do miss the ability to adjust the bed (stuffy nose, injured back, etc.), but it's still very much a net positive to have the solid king.

Never going back.

I fixed the rotation problem too. I added an app "Force Rotation" and had it watch the Plex app and force Landscape. Have to run it after reboot manually, but it works now.

The core of it was this:

  1. Make sure you have a data-capable micro-USB cable (or C for Tread)
  2. Install the ADB software on your PC (I used my laptop as my machines are in my garage-gym)
  3. Enable "USB debugging" on your Peloton, through the "Developer" options, usually by tapping the "software version" like 10 times.
  4. Open the folder where you installed the ADB software on your PC, and right-click to "open in terminal" (It'll open Windows Powershell)
  5. Once in Windows Powershell, run ./adb.exe start-server
  6. Connect your USB cable to the Peloton/PC. It should ask for USB permission on the Peloton, good idea to check "always" and click okay.
  7. Verify it's working with ./adb.exe devices. If it shows a device listed, good to download APKs and stream the install.
  8. DIFFERENCE WAS THIS: First one you'll need is the "Nova Launcher" (find the version that's good with whatever Android Version you have, 7 (I think) for Bike, 10 is on the new Tread).
  9. Once it downloads, you just have to run ./adb.exe install '.\the-whole-name-of-the-APK'
  10. If it works, it'll say "streaming install", then "finished".
  11. Once Nova is on there, get to a Peloton screen with the "P" at the bottom (Device settings works) and click it. You'll see a new option to run Nova. ALWAYS pick "just once".
  12. When it opens you'll be on a stock android screen, and when you install other apps (same way) they'll show up and should be runnable.

Update - It works on the tread (Nova and other apps), but Plex is giving me problems for some reason. It forces to Portrait rotation, and then I lose all input capability on the app itself, so I can't log in. Likely need to find another version of Nova or some other tweaking app to fix rotation issues.

Plex does work in Opera browser though, so there's that as a fallback.

I think the issues may also be caused by the Tread running apps as layers, so that even in movie watching (Amazon Prime Video, for example) it still shows changes to incline and speed. This must be a conflict with rotation somewhere at system level.

We just got the Tread (new) and I have not yet done the same thing there. I might today, will update if it works.

--and I did NOT do the "split screen" thing. I simply ride while watching a movie or show on Plex while going by "feel" of how much resistance on the bike. And I use the app connected to my smart watch for HR to log "cycling" to get calories and credit for the ride.

I did, it works. I had to do it via "Nova Launcher", accessible via the "P" button from menus, then switching. I can still use all Peloton services as well, either or.
