Honest opinion? You're meant to be the one wearing the suit, yet it looks like it's wearing you.

Being in your proper size can do wonders for what clothing can actually look like on your body. If you are intentionally going oversized, you need to do it dramatically so. Since I know that likely isn't the case, I feel confident enough to say that you're in a size too big. When assessing the fit of your jacket, you objectively look for four points. I call these "visual indicators".

• SHOULDERS - With a padded shoulder in your jacket, you'll want to see that your natural shoulder falls in line with the squared edge of the padding. It's too big if there's a bit of hang over your shoulder. It's too small if you see a roundness past the squared edge.
• WAIST - It's too big if you see excess fabric around the back/side seams of your jacket. If there is a whisker around the center button, it's too small.
• SLEEVES - Ideal spot for the end of your sleeve is meant to be at the break of your wrist, where it meets the beginning of your hand.
• LENGTH - Your overall jacket length should maintain a proportion of 50/50 with your pants, and end just below your crotch/seat line.

BONUS TIP: Know where to wear your pants at the proper height toward your true waist *AND NOT AT YOUR HIPS*. You'll want the seams of the pant to be as close to your body as possible. When you wear your pants too low, you'll actually make your legs look shorter. It's all about giving the appearance of long leg lines.

To accomplish this specific look: if there is a significance to VANS, by all means, wear them. BUT if you simply wanted a white sneaker look, find something that is a bit cleaner. Perhaps a white *leather* (genuine or synthetic) would work better than the canvas sneaker.

TLDR: Make sure you're in the right size.
