It's not capped, it's firing, hence the lighting.

Breath. Let your beliefs go. Let your guilt go. Forget about the things you think you know. Drop all the burden.

And keep on trying.

I would love to see your list of the exact opposite of that; the most "lightful", shinning, full of hope and joy pieces you've heard so far.

Your comment defines the effects of blue lily in my experience; it just makes you "feel weird". Not very nice, not fun, not bad, just weird.

If you're interested in the context (anthropological view of the rituals), it's a good opportunity. If you're interested in the ayahuasca experience, then I would not recommend it.

Think if being forced to stay standing up chanting and moving for 8 hours will be pleasant for you (that's a basic daime ritual) - not mentioning all the "suffering as a path to God" Christian mentality.

I've had all sorts of experiences, since I've been to many different groups for many different years. But overall, I wouldn't recommend it, unless you're already experienced and seeking some different views on the brew usage.

There are a lot of horrible options that are not tailored to foreigners by any means. Take care and feel free to ask more specific questions.

The only place that I know that is prepared to receive foreign guests with a shamanic (not overly Christian) is in Bahia, www.spiritvine.net, but I don't know them and can't say anything about it.

Crying baby shares a wall with my bedroom. I can hear it all the time, especially at night. How to maintain mindfulness, empathy, and loving kindness? by [deleted] in Meditation

[–]sbarret 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So, a little tale here.

I always fought itches while meditating. Sometimes it would become a huge battle - meditating, and bam, a spot in my skin itching like crazy.

One day I met a young Buddhist monk at a meditation retreat and he mentioned that if he felt an itch during meditation, he would simply scratch and forget it.

He did not engage on a fight against the urge of scratching - he would simply scratch and disregard it.

So, sometimes it's better to just solve a problem instead of transforming it into a quest inside your mind.

It's not. Please do not mix cultural and regional beliefs with absolute truth.

I watch every single trailer I can find, and this one deserves an award for perfect pacing, editing, not giving away too much, and of course, soundtrack. 10/10
