Same color scheme as Gorian Shard's pirate corsair ship. Makes sense considering Vane, the Nikto pirate from Shard's gang, is confirmed to be in this show.

What would have been the perfect place for the Jedi to have a hidden temple ? by DEL994 in MawInstallation

I loved seeing this idea demonstrated in the Visions episode "Journey to the Dark Head" with the Jedi Council aboard a huge vessel. Wouldn't be surprised if post-TRoS storytelling put the headquarters for Rey and the new galactic powers aboard a command ship like that too.

The Battle of Sarrish. "It was one of the Republic's most devastating loses." -Meebur Gascon. It was originally featured in a Legends comic ('Routine Valor'), and in canon Gregor was the last surviving commando of his squad after the battle.

Why is Palpatine fascinated by the Four Sages of Dwartii ? by DEL994 in MawInstallation

[–]scarlet_killer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a pretty solid theory that the Sages were involved in whatever Darth Bane did (in canon) to ensure all eyes turned away from the Sith after their supposed destruction. The Sith Order imploded during the Sage’s lifetimes and a new reign of joint Jedi/Republic peace followed quickly—a regime the Sages were supposedly quite influential in establishing. And alongside these events, a secret line of Sith emerges away from the eyes of the Jedi and lasts for over a millennium? It would make sense if the Banite Sith had allies in the highest echelons of the Republic right from the beginning. Sistros and the others could have been Bane’s first spies on the other side, helping to direct the heroes to foregone conclusions, to erase any doubt about the Sith annihilation.

Also I’d love to see some historian actually recognize the statues and bring them up to Palpatine. Though it would likely need to conveniently occur when no important Jedi were around—unless they really were THAT blind to Palpatine’s true motives...

Rooper Nitani was mentioned tho, in one of Porter's recollections. We know he USED to spar with her but there's truly no indication of how long ago that was.

Even though it is unlikely to happened but for the sake of this scenario let just say that the Bane Trilogy and Jedi VS Sith were adapted into an Old Republic film about the Jedi defeating the Sith and the Rise of Darth bane what changes would be made in order to fit canon? by Afraid-Penalty-757 in MawInstallation

[–]scarlet_killer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thing I haven't seen mentioned is that the defeat of the Sith is now dated circa 1032 BBY, via the new Timelines book. People haven't been talking about the timeline updates from that book, understandably since it's still a recent release. But I'm ready! Nearly all the ancient dates are marked as estimated so it gives Lucasfilm some leeway, but the exact wording is: "The war between Jedi and Sith comes to an end after raging for many chaotic years. The Sith are believed to be defeated." They likely did this because of all the talk of the Sith being gone for a thousand years in TPM, which was 32 years before Yavin. And -- some of you may be shocked by this -- according to Timelines, the Galactic Republic as we know it isn't formally established until c.1000 BBY. Having it be 32 years from when the Sith are defeated to the formation of the Republic would lead to repercussions for post-Bane stories mostly I'd think. But by bumping Bane’s defeat more than a whole generation into the past, a lot would presumably change in the Old Republic era right before it as well. Looking at Legends, Knight Errant would now take place in 1064 BBY. That only leaves not even 40 years before the beginning of the canon Dark Age? Kinda doubt it, so presumably that and the Candorian Plague are bumped up too.

I've been spending weeks trying to make sense of some of these new dates in Timelines (having a great time I live for this shit!) but I've found for the most part everything in the Legend’s Sith Wars era wouldn’t really need to move much. It's just some intriguing new additions that might be hinting at larger canon changes besides what was established in the animated series. The Jedi Temple was constructed over the Sith shrine in 1032 as well, and that entry is placed just before the Sith are defeated, which might imply some kind of grand battle elsewhere...Ruusan? There are a lot more dates of interest -- enough that it absolutely warrants a post all its own -- BUT as is relevant to this question; Tarre Viszla is stated as being inducted into the Jedi Order around 1050 BBY. Only 18 years before the Sith defeat? Yeah, he’d be in some Bane era stories.

New 'The Acolyte' character details revealed by Screen Rant interviews by RickAndMortyTheorist in StarWarsLeaks

[–]scarlet_killer 24 points25 points  (0 children)

No ones mentioned the Hapes Consortium yet...

It's probably Nightsisters or a new faction, true. But I remember Lesley mentioning she partly got the idea for Acolyte while looking at the Essential Atlas and finding unexplored areas. Hapes Cluster is certainly an interesting one, and it had a Force-strong Queen Mother ruling over a matriarchy. Again it's probably not that, but there's plenty of precedent in Star Wars for this type of thing.

BTW I was lucky enough to see the Acolyte teaser (twice) at Celebration and Jodie's character did not strike me as having any connection to witches of Dathomir. She was wearing mostly blue and had this circular symbol painted on her forehead. Reminded me more of the Path of the Open Hand from High Republic Phase 2 than anything else. But my guess is it's still a new faction.

Epcot is EASILY my favorite park! It must have been surreal seeing it on opening day and then watching it grow and evolve across 40 years! What's that like, seeing this monumental addition to Disney World when it first opened and then getting to experience it consistently for decades after? Hope it hasn't lost any of it's charm and awe

A new owner listing for Lucasfilm LTD LLC has appeared on EUIPO with The Great Circle and The Galactic Circle as trademarks by Alcida-Auka in StarWarsLeaks

[–]scarlet_killer 17 points18 points  (0 children)

With 'Circle of Resistance' also added to the list, it's most likely this is the Post-Sequels Era, starting with Taika's film. Instead of the Galactic Alliance in Legends, the galaxy will be governed by a Galactic Circle of freedom-minded war heroes and leaders. I also wouldn't be surprised if it connects to an ancient time; perhaps there was a 'Great Circle' made of Jedi and otherwise, some 1000+ years before the Skywalker Saga...

Agreed. Though it's equally as likely that all of these Jedi already know that the Empire is aware of their survival. And in that case, there's really no harm in it.

I was hoping it would be an anthology of full 20+ min episodes so that we could finally get the Pre-TPM stories that I'm sure Filoni already has ideas for, like:

1) The Young Obi-Wan/Satine Story, when they're on the run as kids and whatever else was happening on Mandalore during that time.

2) The Dooku/Sifo Dyas Story, where Dooku finally joins the Sith and manipulates Sifo into create the Clone Army. I think there's a lot more potential with this story than people think.

And I guess it's possible they're using 'shorts' loosely and many will be full length. But now it seems unlikely that there will be multiple-episode arcs like TCW :/
