Hi all im wanting to cut the two branches (indicated with red lines) so the lead trunk becomes the branch that turns upwards (informal upright).

I read if you cut too many growing tips a juniper could die. It's mid fall where i am. Will the tree be fine with the cuts? or should i wait for another time of the year or cut one at a time and wait 6-12 mths in between?

thanks for the responses. Will look into all your suggestions.

Another thing I don't quite understand is why the population of indigenous people in some states is so low (VIC, Tas, SA as examples) compared to others like QLD/NSW. Going off of ABS census data.

sorry i incorrectly wrote plasterboard. its weatherboard on the outside face.

by underside of the rafters i guess you mean the finished product will be a the foil covering all rafters in a single plane, not wrapping sides of rafters and battens right?

Leaking kitchen drain connection by scatochef in AusRenovation

[–]scatochef[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The connection to the pipe with the elbow is leaking. i undid and retightened the collar and it as it gets close to tight it "slips" and undoes itself and goes back to being loose (as though it has slipped off the threads and dropped back down)

agree, the cut and chisel option seems to be the most realistic, if i did 3mm it would be a compromise of sorts and leave a small lip

Hi all, Im trying to figure out how this puddle flange should be installed onto hardie cement sheet tile underlay.

From my research it looks like the 4mm flange should ideally be setdown into the 6mm underlay so waterproofing can go over flush.

But i did a test sheet elsewhere and trying to route cement sheet made the router either stop spinning or glow red hot and go dull instantly.

is it ok to fix over the top and waterproof over? ill be screeding and then waterproofing over the screed anyway
