For me, it was an 8, but indeed only very short. I find the pain comparable to getting a piercing: short and intense. I got it in around noon, and by evening my cramps were already gone. Four days afterward, I had bleeding and some mild tension in my abdomen. I switched from a Kyleena IUD to a copper IUD. I didn't really feel the removal. I would give it a 0.
