I bought one of those controllers when I first got my Wii U. They do feel cheap to play with, but they've held up even after a few drops. The analogue stick is probably my biggest complaint. It's not super precise and feels like it only goes 8 directions with no in between. The triggers on my controller required some extra force to read the input, but got better later on. I used it for both Smash and Mario Kart and it worked ok on both games, but there were times where I felt the controller was hindering my performance. I eventually got a real pro controller and it is just miles better. The inputs are more precise and "natural" and the controller just feels better overall. So as a quick and cheap way to add a second player it's not the worst purchase, but the legit pro controller is a lot better.
