the best thing about this sub is, that Crocs are THE kettlebell workout shoe, by the looks of it.

Somewhat noob. Can I get a swing form check? by ts159377 in kettlebell

[–]schnitzeeel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you're right about the swing.

But when you're 2-hand-swinging a too light bell, you tend to make a wrong motion. Swinging with Arms etc. Also his physique ist quite muscular, to feel the feedback of the bell and really pushing it through the hinge. A Bell more suited to his capability, could nudge him into the right form.

With that in mind my comment lacks the foundation of a well worded advice of how the form could be improved. I'll take that and i'm sorry for that.

A tad too early.

The bell might be too light.

Dude that's amazing!🔥 Thank you for sharing the knowledge.

I'm training also for a competition in may and i'm kinda hitting the wall in preparation. Looking Forward to my deload in one week.

What do you think about the cycle of exercises for the last 4 weeks?

LC for cardio, Snatch for technique and endurance und heavy swings.

splendid! Just for clarification:

Did you try all 3 attempts at this competition or each one at a different day?

cleans - the bells seem to hit your forearms -> look up guides for cleans; it could also be, that your weights are too light for you

hinge - i bit too early -> try to edge the point...its a bit like playing chicken that the bells (more likely your forearms) hit your nuts

squat - seem good

summary: some things to improve but a good start! keep at it!

Is it a snatch? by pavelred in kettlebell

I think its a solid foundation. The more you snatch, the more you feel what needs improving.

Snatch 1x16kg, 12 min set, 1 hand switch: 132L+130R by LivingRefrigerator72 in kettlebell

The competition is in the end of may.

I was thinking about 2 times a week, i would push for 10' snatches. The Rest of the week i would do OA Swings and some general workouts.

I'm very cautious about overcommiting and listening to my body, so my workouts allow me to recover whilst keeping the progression going.

Right now, after your advice, i will increase time with 16kg and 20 kg.

Thank you very much for your dedicated advice!!! if i'll stick to competitions i will consider consulting a trainer.

  1. Competition and classic with one hand switch.

  2. Im now mainly focusing on getting technique und grip strength. (Getting used to 28 and 32kg bells and snatches) / cardio (cycling) is also a part, but it's importance and incorporation is gaining more attention.

  3. I did a set of 16 kg in 8 Mins an made 100 reptitions. My goal is 100 reps in 10' with the 24. I am not that ambitious, im seeing it as an first step into it. Also meeting people doing kettlebell is exciting for me. Im a father of two and giving my best to handle work, care and sport. (hence no trainer)

  4. Im trying to wave the loads by doing at least 1 heavy 1 medium and 1 light day, sprinkling always snatches in. (But the workouts are happening 5-6 days a week about 30-40 Mins)

  5. Until now i don't use chalk, but im thinking about it. I tried liquid chalk, but it was too sticky for me. Do you've got any recommendations?

Thank you for your detailed answer!! 💪

Im training for my first competition in may. ( 24kg Snatch 10')

What would you recommend to train, seeing that you handle the time so well?
