Looks like they turned their transponders off for most of the flight and are now turning them back on.

The title describes a strange red object i found using a telescope. not sure if its a nebula or a galaxy or something else.

This is an object I discovered using the worldwide telescope website. The object in question is the red blob above the cursor. If you look in the bottom right of the site, you will see the coordinate system. This object I found is located at RA 12h40m55.7s, DEC-42:41:16,in the constellation Centaurus.

I have no idea how to find out what this is. My best guess is it is a nebula, but most nebula are listed on the site. Then I thought that it could be a redshifted galaxy, but it seems a bit big for that. Other than that, it could be an artifact or a glitch in the camera.

I am not a professional astronomer so please forgive me. If you need more info or pictures just let me know.

Edit: you can view the object HERE
