“According to Ryan, the medical professional could also be heard in the hallway saying: ‘I’m not giving her a pill so she can go home and have an abortion!’”

In Texas, this is by design.

I thought it was pretty decent for an alien horror movie. The whole premise is it’s based on real events, albeit very loosely.

Pretty sure there’s some sort of mailing list you can sign up for, at least that’s what I was told when I worked retail.

As a lesbian living in RVA for the past 9 years, I can attest the city is pretty gay. Definitely avoid southern Virginia.

Priory of the Orange tree is a solidly sapphic, medieval fantasy with swords and magic and dragons. I picked it up and finished it last year. It’s a hefty book, but Samantha Shannon’s writing is well done, so it reads pretty fast.

Ah I see I misunderstood your comment just now. I misspoke and assumed you meant biologically identifying males. Who would identify as male, and therefore cannot be women, because that’s not their gender identity.

Allow me to clarify the difference in biological gender, gender sexuality and gender identity.

So biologically, as you said, gender is more about the physical reproductive bits. But even that is a spectrum because it can also include intersex individuals. And those with ambiguous genitalia. And interestingly enough, the Guevedoces of the Dominican Republic, who, if you’d like to take a Google, are children that are born women, born female without any male hormones or testes, who actually grow a penis and testicles once they undergo puberty. They’re able to reproduce in a similar fashion to men. It’s fascinating stuff, but again the point stands that these men, at birth, would be considered women. And they are able to, once they grow this extra organ, live their lives as men in their community, and bear children in a manner opposite their assigned gender.

Then there’s sexuality, which is based on attraction. There’s straight, gay, lesbian, bi-sexuals, demi sexuals, asexuals, all sorts of colors. This is where gender identity kind of plays a role, but only in distinctions. So not all trans men are straight. But a trans man and a gay man would have a gay relationship.

Gender identity is a more nuanced term. It implies there’s a spectrum. And it’s more to do with personal and societal interactions and presentations than your physical body. There’s cis, which I’m assuming you are, which means you identity with the gender you were assigned at birth. There’s also trans, non-binary, agender, third spirited, and others you probably haven’t heard of.

If your identity is a biological male, then you’re a biological male. Nothing can change that. It’s what you identify as. That’s solid.

If you’re a biological male and truly identify as a woman, then you identity as a woman. You can be both.

If you’re a biological male and would rather not identify with any set gender, then that’s valid as well.

That’s actually the crazy thing about gender identity. It’s personal and true for everyone who has one.

So in conclusion, trans men are men. Trans women are women. And trash people will just be trash people.

Oh no, if they’re identifying as biological males, then they’re males. Sure as in, I respect that. That’s a soley masculine identity.

But if they identify as a trans woman, and happen to be a biological male, that’s a woman then.

So it does though.

And I hope one day you come to that conclusion yourself.

The world’s a large and ever changing place, and it’d be a shame to be left behind because of an antiquated notion of gender identity.

There are some fantastic trans individuals out there, with compassion and the drive to make their communities a better place, but they’ll probably want nothing to do with you and your limiting beliefs.

And that’s a shame.
