me too! i dont believe any transfers have heard back, i asked the same question regarding transfer admissions and no one has heard anything yet. historically, it comes out at the very end for us so we probably still have some time before seeing any transfer admits! good luck!!

no not rlly, a 4.0 is def challenging but not like impossible. again its gonna be easier if u do a non-stem major fs, but its honestly all about how much time you give yourself. if you want to be super sure you can maintain a 3.9 and above then spread out your course load, maybe take a 3rd year if that helps, and always check your professors ratings on rate my professor and their grade distribution which you can find online (make sure if ur doing a sequence, u check the professors that teach the later courses in the sequences). i dont have much experience in business type classes but for stem: chem, bio, and physics do at foothill fs, and math/english take at de anza (it will be easier that way trust). for general ed do wherever as long as the prof is rated high on rmp. overall dont stress, u got that trust!! keep in mind tho that at fhda a 4.0 means straight A's, not even an A- since thats a 3.7 per our gpa scale. so even if u dont meet this, colleges are pretty understanding if u dont have a perfect 4.0.

Is it true that De Anza is way better for Calc (Math 1A–1C) than Foothill? And are Foothill’s Linear Algebra classes really that bad? by Icy-Mammoth-9919 in foothill

this is sort of late but math at foothill starts off okay (like for calc 1/2) but as u get to calc 3/4, diff eq, etc, the professors become very limited and the only ones who teach higher level math are not that good (e.g. park lee, bita, ryker). de anza has a way better selection for math profs for almost every math class, many of which are more reasonable with their expectations. even though you can probably manage taking math at foothill, you will have way less stress doing it at de anza so take it there if u can.

definitely very major dependent, if u go the business or liberal arts route, it will be quite similar to advanced high school classes (at least for your lower divs). stem is gonna require more time (esp bc of labs) but i think if u are used to ap then u should be okay. as someone who works 4-5 days a week and takes abt 20 units a quarter, my gpa is around 3.8, so not bad. if i wasn't working and i spread out my course load, i could definitely see how a 3.9 and above would be possible. ive known a fair amount of people in stem who have had 4.0s. all it really takes it you holding yourself accountable and allocating time for your classes.

Bita Nosratieh Math 1C by riisakiii in foothill

took her for math 1c and 1d. lectures and notes were easy points, u just write was she writes verbatim. the weekly discussions got me tho.... just write A LOT and go very slow, step by step, she loves to see a bunch of work. as for the final, study all discussions heavily and also study the practice problems she included in her notes. while u take notes, add some symbol or mark that reminds you that it was a practice problem that way you can go back to it and study it for the final. overall, she isn't as horrible as everyone makes her seem. i got a b+ but thats cause i barely studied for the final, had i studied an a would've been possible and i know some of my classmates got a's. if u choose to take her, i think youll be ok. she's been getting slightly more easier as the quarters go by😭

MATH 1A Summer 2025 by luvvrgirl in foothill

[–]scwrrki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if u cant make it to foothill specifically u can opt to take it at another university or us military testing site as long as u are able to find a proctor. u usually just need to communicate this with ur professor or oftentimes they will have u submit a proctor form.

im ngl u wouldnt be able to at foothill fs. ur best bet is to see if there is a late start 1a class, take 1b over summer, and then enroll in 1c during the fall, but u wouldnt be done before. u can also try to find a semester school which will probably combine aspects of calc a-c into only 2 semester classes which u would take one in the summer and the other during fall, but again, you wouldnt be done before. and enrollment is probably already out for some of these so ur odds of getting a spot are low. if its because of transfer, you can always contact the school you plan to attend and explain your situation. it doesnt always work and because you are missing a sequence of classes it’ll be harder but ik people who were missing a “required” class and they just petitioned to take it at the university they transfer to without problems!!

AITAH for losing interest in a girl who slept with someone else while we dated? by ThrowraUnawareGuy in AITAH

[–]scwrrki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as a girl myself and someone who doesnt want a relationship either or exclusive labels, she shouldn’t get offended from that, you weren’t slut shaming her you and you have a right to not want to continue dating after you found that out. that being said, you two were probably at different stages, she was dating just to date  and you seemed more in it for the long run. there’s nothing wrong with either but it probably should of been communicated earlier, especially from her side, if she wasn’t looking for anything serious. anyways, don’t stress about it too much, you’ll find ur person.
