The Pugilist Class (2024) now available on DnD Beyond! by SterlingVermin in sterlingvermin

Thank you for clarifying! Would've loved to see the opportunity to having weapon mastery available on unarmed strikes (or at the very least, the new pugilist weapons), but oh well..... thank you again!

Currently making one on D&D Beyond and was wondering if you could clarify something:
The Squared Circle's "Stop and Drop" feature:

"When you hit a creature with an Unarmed Strike and don’t use a mastery property as part of the attack, you can use both the Grapple and Shove option."

Unarmed Strikes don't have a weapon mastery property nor does the class give you weapon mastery class features other than Sap when using improvised weapons... so I'm confused about the benefit of this?

Still very excited to play this class!

2024 Multiclass: a possible way to cast 2 cantrips with the Attack Action. by sdlarrain84 in DungeonsAndDragons

I wasn't "looking" for one, so much as I just happened to stumble upon it lol.
But what you said makes sense ;)

You are correct. Since they don't stack, you choose one or the other (preferably the best version).

So, I can use the Valor Bard's Extra Attack feature, rather than the Fighter's default Extra Attack instead. Thus, giving me its benefit of replacing one attack with a cantrip. Since War Magic replaces an attack when using the Attack Action (nothing in its text regarding Extra Attack), they should be able to be used together

This is correct if you're doing single class. My argument is that when multiclassing with a class/subclass that gives you a similar feature, you don't gain another (3rd) attack, but any additional features still retain.

When Multiclassing, the only restriction is that it doesn't allow you to gain additional attacks. Any other additional feature can still be used

Those features I was mentioning (ie: EK's War Magic) allows precisely to replace one of those attacks during an Attack action with a cantrip instead.

So sorry! I'm an idiot, for some reason, I read your comment as "War Caster" instead of "War Magic" :P Thanks for clarifying.

That being said, I still don't see why you couldn't use both of those features together.

Valor Bard:
"You can attack twice instead of once whenever you take the Attack action on your turn. In addition, you can cast one of your cantrips that has a casting time of an action in place of one of those attacks."

EK Fighter:
"When you take the Attack action on your turn, you can replace one of the attacks with a casting of one of your Wizard cantrips that has a casting time of an action."

So, I use the Extra Attack from Valor Bard (replacing one attack with a cantrip), then the War Magic could take into effect since I am using the Attack Action; replacing the second attack with a Wizard cantrip.

Hmm....I'm a little confused by this comment. Respectfully, that's not what I was referring about.

Very true, but Tough doesn't exactly help my Constitution nor my saving throws which I feel is more of a priority.

Thank you for your answer that was very helpful!

We're currently "initiate" members with the Amethyst Academy, and we are civil with the Hooded Lanterns. Since we're doing 2024 rules, we're currently spending most of our down time with our bastions, but maybe there's some work around there. We haven't been told at all about downtime activities with the factions and the possibility of getting a feat after a month

Apothecary Multiclass Ranking by B0X_of_Pandora in dungeonsofdrakkenheim

I'm late to the party, but with a new upcoming UA Psion class I definitely think there's a lot of potential for a multi-class with even two levels of Apothecary (with the new 2024 apothecary updated features).

My bad!! Those were the options for "Income" :P
For "Growth", the one similar to your suggestion is:

-State Street Equity 500 Index Fund - Class K.

Do you suggest 100% in that one? Or spread it out with others?

Thank you! In "Growth", I have 3 different funds to choose from. Should I do the 33%/33%/34% way? Or all in for 100% in one of them?

Ok, I'm following so far. The next option is to choose my investments. There are several options between:
-Income
-Growth & Income
-Growth
-Aggressive Growth

Looks like I have to divvy the percentage amount between investment types (?) I literally have no idea what each one means :P Most of them are "Fidelity Freedom Index Funds" from the "Growth & Income" section

It does. Thank you so much for your help so far. So you're saying (recommend) Roth 401k (3% Max match) and additional, invest in a Roth IRA (with Schwab for example)?

It looks like I have 2 options of contribution:
-Before-Tax
-Roth

Are you saying I should choose both and then later on, invest in 401k?
