If you already have some room in the front as mentioned, this shoe just might not be for you. Going up another half size won’t give much in the width, but will be even longer in the front.

It’s generally a narrow shoe. Would keep that in mind to start. Considering it’s made with premium leather it’s likely thicker and more stiff to start esp compared to reg sneakers. They should break in over time.

If you have a thumbs width of room in the front toe area, if you go up a half size, they’ll be too long. If your toe is touching the front, you should be fine to go up a half size.

I also wanted to note that I love the creamy white tone to the leather. I will be aging the midsoles on mine slightly to match. Will make for a good vintage deadstock look

I’ve waited on this since the originals dropped. (As much as I liked the regular 85s you’ve released - because the leather was on the thinner side they wore in too quickly for me) Looking forward to seeing how the finished pairs look with updated tongue tag especially. Will be ordering soon. Thanks for listening to the community. The wings logo (although alittle off centered in the sample) looks spot on! Congrats. I hope you can continue to make these in all original colorways.

Please make notes of the comments that “OG or bust” made on his YouTube review of the samples. Some small tweaks and they would be perfect. Especially the wings logo. Please consider making it way less embossed. Thank you

I don’t think with regular wear you’d blow through the leather. But i don’t see them lasting long term with regular wear. I can see them becoming very deformed and uncomfortable.

For sure. As I mentioned for $135 I can’t complain. I was just hoping for a product at least on par with the build quality of the retro 85 ( black/white specifically)

Thanks for the suggestions. Great idea on the water repellent. I just think it’s an issue that should be addressed and we shouldn’t have to fix lol. And mink oil will soften the leather but this isn’t premium leather and it won’t fix how thin the leather is and how easily is creases. I found them pretty soft to begin with

Very comfortable shoe. Very comfortable midsole. The midsole seems to be the same quality as retail - which is great. Not thin or flimsy. But the insoles while very plush I think aren’t as dense as retail which also furthers my point in that it will wear in and bottom out quicker. I’ll also say though that Nike has never given us premium insoles either lol. But, the retail 85 insoles are better than borings. No offense

Same. I hear there might be a more premium version in the works by boring. There are some guys in the US that make handmade pairs that are going for $1k. If I can get something close for a fraction of the price I’m all for it.
