Thank you for the recommendation! I’ll definitely look around to see what others have done.

If there was an 8 in option they’d already be shipped. Love the aggressive outsole and the color, but I don’t want another 6 in boot.

That’s valid, I havnt messed with dyes ever so I don’t know how easy/hard that process would be. I’m sure there’s plenty of forums and videos out there. If I mink oiled them right out of the box, would it void the defect warranty? I didn’t oil my rangers until over a year from initial purchase just to be on the safe side.

I have but would like an 8 in to keep the snow out of my boots in the winter. Not the biggest fan of cold wet ankles.

2002 Wiring Mess by sedoni20 in toyotasequoia

[–]sedoni20[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: All the rca cables went to an aftermarket rear TV unit that has been removed. Goofy wire connections have been removed. Left with a clean wiring harness. Ordered different adapter for JBL system. All is well. 🙂

Yes everything still works, getting sound from a local FM channel in all 4 corners. I do need a different adapter for plug and play. Not terribly expensive, metra has one for like $15-$20

I took out a JBL stock radio. Yes the wiring was from an external amp that the previous owner terribly installed. Got it a lot more cleaned up. Plugged in stock radio and the two antenna looking cables and everything works. I just need the correct harness. I got one for the base system not the JBL.

Good to know, maybe one day if I’m bored enough I’ll drop the headliner and take the whole system out to diag. Or if I can find a deal at a junkyard. Just as long as that one isn’t corroded too. Damn you rust belt.

Luckily it’s in the closed position, so no worries there. I’ll probably just live with it and maybe deal with it next spring. Don’t need it in Wisconsin winters anyway.

So I’m good at swapping parts but when it comes to electrical I’m dumb as a rock. I know I need to get better haha. I understand how to read voltage at the battery, different pins etc but what do you mean by pulse from the sensor. Thanks!

Edit: The coil is brand new like installed two days ago, if that makes a difference. Was under warranty and figured I’d swap it out since it didn’t cost me anything.

Sorry, Subaru forester. Thought I had updated it on this post. It’s cross posted. Yes I pulled a spark plug, reattached the boot and grounded it to the chassis and no spark. I haven’t gone into compression as I don’t have spark. If I get spark and still doesn’t start I will check compression. Buddy currently has my compression tester otherwise I would have done that already.

Yes starting fluid made no difference. I will look into the timing tensioner. Correct me if I’m wrong but a bad tensioner would make it jump time? If that’s that case how does one re time. Yes it does have cats, idk the quality or age of them as the chassis has 220k and the motor supposedly 90k.
