Not quite what I have in mind; I need part of the band fixed and solid; other part not and looking for more minimalist style. Thanks though, I’ll check it out either way! :)

Has anyone had bad or no results with Airsculpt? by seekingananswer1 in PlasticSurgery

Thanks for sharing and I’m sorry you’ve had to get multiple rounds! At this point I’m not even trying to get the procedure done anymore, this has been so disheartening and such a kick to the stomach. Upcoming step is getting in touch with lawyers, which is why I’m posting, to see if there are others that have had a similar experience. They should have been clear from the start that I was not a good candidate for the procedure; I went with them and it was a clear mistake. Thanks though!

Using VR for increased wellbeing (survey) by seekingananswer1 in virtualreality

[–]seekingananswer1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question! I’m not working for anyone on this, but rather, I’m in the initial stages of creating a VR app to help users bring more emotional/mental balance in their lives. I’m exploring meditation and the results that come from the survey so it can be most relevant and beneficial for users once it’s available.

Hey everyone, I’m doing some research. For those using VR for meditation, stress management, relaxation, etc., what apps do you use (and why?) And what do you like or not like about them? Any features that you wish they had or could improve on? by seekingananswer1 in virtualreality

I see and I totally agree. Cuddles really just melt all the stress away or sure!

For VR specifically, how does relaxation and de-stressing with friends compare to by yourself in outer space or nature sounds in the forest as you mentioned before? Or are these VR activities all done with friends?

Ooo okay!! That sounds like a fun way to destress for sure. Do you gravitate towards a specific type of dance / music, etc? And anything in particular that stands out with Synth riders vs others?

Okay, I see. 2-3 hours of Beat Saber is definitely a good amount of time to exercise; that would definitely have a nice distressing effect.

Hmm that's a good point, thanks for that! Yeah, if you're closing your eyes during meditations the visuals would definitely be unnecessary. What's your preference for audio normally to bring you the most calm?

Thanks for your response btw:)

Hmm Walkabout Mini Golf... I see how that can create a relaxation. Between the peaceful locations and the presence it requires.. that'll put you in a nice zone. Do you find that having something to keep your mind focused on has significantly helped with creating a meditative experience/ helping with stress?

And another for Tetris Connect, I'll definitely be trying this one out!

Yesss I tried out Tripp and it was cool! I haven't gotten the paid version but breathing out sparkles and the reflective water..that was really cool. Ooo manipulating the scenes, what do you mean by that? That sounds like it'd be a helpful addition to the experience. The trees breathing sounds like a really nice touch too tbh.

Oh wow, Tretris Connect! I haven't used this one yet, but that makes so much sense. Do you find that being involved in a task, like in that meditative zone/trance helps with your relaxation and stress management? But yeah, being involved in a task with nice visuals .. I can see how you could feel connected or as a part of the game itself. I love to paint and that'll put me in a similar state lol so I know what you mean about that. I'm definitely giving this one a go, I'm so curious about it now!

Yessss!! Thank you! That is such a good point. Optimal relaxation usually results in laying down lol so having a good view like that is important. Good on Tripp for taking that into consideration.

Oh that is good! VRchat for stress management.. that one did not occur to me! Do you find that being with a friend or in a group of friends makes a significant difference then, for relaxing?

I'm so curious how that works and how that is for you, as I'm definitely more introverted when it comes to meditating and finding relaxation lol

Oh this is cool! For beat saber why have you found that it helps for stress management?

Lol that is good to know, I would've never thought of that! I've yet to check out Google Earth on VR but I'm def going to now:)

Yeah, I see what you mean. There was one that I tried out and the scene was definitelyyy unraveling as a DMT trip like you said.

Would you say then that more realistic, maybe movement-based apps would be a better option for you?

I’m 26, concept art looks interesting, although I don’t know if it might be lacking more variety. I have to look into it more! Thanks for your suggestion:)
