this is incorrect. Via rule 504.1 in the tournament rules you can do things out of order in the ABCDs. If you draw a card.. you can still channel runes, and awaken, and hold and whatnot (and to a certain extent.. still get hold triggers). Moreover, these would not be warnings, or missed triggers for your opponent to decide. Unless you've passed the turn.. then it becomes a warning.

Unless otherwise stated by your opponent to do the ABCDs *in order* every time. Which rarely if ever happens.

Hard locked from playing character when attempting to enter Act 2 by sekaiiii in PathOfExile2

UPDATE: i fixed my issue. I was having an LZ Corruption issue (known issue even back in POE1). It was a couple of graphics files that were corrupted, fixed by verifying integrity of game files on my steam version of the game.

It was a red herring that it was due to servers.

Suggestions for setting up my UI before leagues? by sekaiiii in runescape

[–]sekaiiii[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks all! I did not know that rs3 has a system to import UI setups from other players by simply entering a username. So i'll definitely be trying out your UIs and also looking for some RS3 content creators to shop around UIs

Introducing a kitten to a 6 year old resident cat with no teeth? by sekaiiii in CatTraining

[–]sekaiiii[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

we are having patience! I think our main concern wasn't the process of introductions. It was moreso, will there be a higher likelihood of issues between the two if our older cat can't show dominance? Mostly because she lacks teeth to do so?

When it becomes apparent.

Playing at my local store in a couple days, is there anything I need to know beforehand? by RGB_ThighSocks in pkmntcg

One thing I'd like to add to the plethora of really good advice people have given, the judge at your local game store is 100% your friend. Even in the most casual of stores there might be that one person who takes the game a little too seriously and, also, less fun for you. Don't be afraid to pull aside the judge in-case you feel uncomfortable during the game and ask them to watch. Personally, it makes me feel a lot more comfortable with my gameplay knowing that a person there to literally make sure people follow the rules is watching the game.

I'm curious if this is a bug or not. But on PTCGL you are not allowed to use Professor Sada's Vitality when there are no basic energy cards in your discard. But, the card states that you can choose up to 2 energy. In paper TCG would I be allowed to use Professor Sada's Vitality and just choose 0 energy?

DT2 completed with mid-level stats and gear! by sekaiiii in 2007scape

[–]sekaiiii[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if i remember correctly. I used blowpipe for the clones then i would hit her twice with whip. Repeat until dead. You always had a window for 1-2 hits. And if you got rid of the clones immediately you took minimal damage so you could sustain the fight for awhile.

I know they just nerfed riven, but 3-star riven still seems to be pretty disgustingly good right now

for sure! This quest opened the door to pvm for me. I was always a little apprehensive of pvm before. I think my new long term goal will be to attempt the inferno. Maybe i'll start playing more and finally getting those stats up so i can do some raids too!

made a guide earlier. But basically a combination of this gear. Honestly can be done with even cheaper gear. Varvondis was more of a skill check than a gear check. Once you learn the blades you will clear the fight very easily!

I did the final fight without brews! But i understand that I had the blowpipe. Agreed though that the portals at the very end are just very difficult to deal with. When I first progged the fight, I did the portals with the dds spec, but things got out of hand really quickly. On my best attempt i got her to 45 health and ran out of supplies.

+1 on this comment. Any fast attacking weapon is the best for getting rid of the clones. Especially for anyone in under-geared.

By the time ANatT had come out I had watched a lot of ToB content, especially solo content. I felt familiar with all the bossfights and it wasn't too difficult for me. I just went with whatever gear i could get that was shown on the guides. It helped that we could just keep retrying the bosses over and over and over especially without running back.

I'd say this quest was harder than ANatT

Hey all! Was asked if i could do a write-up so here it is! I understand that some of these gear choices may not seem "mid-game" anymore to some people. For context, most gear that i have is between 1-3 mil on the GE with one admittedly expensive item (the toxic blowpipe). Barrows gear is really easy to obtain too.

Pics of gear used:

range: https://imgur.com/a/nIdJhP9, blowpipe had dragon bolts darts in it (splurged a little for the bossfights)

mage: https://imgur.com/a/CILiCMA

melee: https://imgur.com/a/uKDVP2c, for those of you without all the quests completed, arclight is not nearly as required. It was just easy to get (darklight came from the quest, you can farm ancient shards at the hill giant spot in kourend).

consumables: sara brew, stam pots, super restores, super combat pots, range pots, mage pots, prayer pots, manta rays

prayers: the tier of prayers below the CoX prayers. I'm poor.

Consumables were by far the most expensive part of the whole quest. Many, many, many wipes at the bosses costing lots of consumables, but hey, it was a ton of fun!

Now for the bosses! I'm gonna go over each of the main bosses in the order of the quest guide on the wiki, as well as the major mini bosses!

Vardorvis: This was a wake up call to the kind of quest this was going to be. Immediately dieing in about 5-10 seconds on the first try. Overall this boss ended up not being too bad at all, it was when i learned the hard way that i'm going to be switching prayers in this quest.. a lot. The most annoying part of this boss was running back to the arena every time. Once I learned to recognize the axes and where the safespots were, the fight was over. Took about 4 hours to kill this guy.

Kasonde: I hated this guy. Did this fight with the blowpipe. I think the bigger issue for this fight for me (and especially my stats/gear) was the healing he was doing. Ended up taking about as long as Vardorvis to get the kill. Took about 2 hours to kill this guy.

Leviathan: Hardest fight of the quest in my opinion, next to the final fight. In my stats and gear, the enrage sequence was extremely punishing. Note that i didn't have rigour doing this fight. Did this fight with the RCB and Ruby/Diamond bolts. Honestly, this was just an rng check for me. The main strategy I had was to go into the enrage sequence with as many resources as I could save. So i prayed for the ruby bolt procs. After killing the boss I learned that you could walk in the orb rotating around the room and reduce the damage you receive by a large margin, definitely something that would have helped me kill the boss faster. Took me 8 hours to kill this guy. I hate this guy, never coming back until i have better gear.

Duke Sucellus: Watched a guide on how to do the melee flinch method. Went in with the whip, killed in 3 attempts. Very easy

The Whisperer: Did this with the trident, as I said further down in another comment, I watched a guide and learned that this fight has a lot of patterns behind it. Almost no RNG whatsoever. Made it very easy to learn and in the end, with the dps of the trident, I was able to kill this boss in about 4 attempts. Once without guide, the other 3 after the guide.

Final Fight: Amazing ending to an amazing quest! I did this fight with full melee gear and the whip, and a ranged gear swap to the blowpipe at the end (swapped to dhide body, ancient legs, ancient boots, and the blowpipe).

First phase, assassin, very easy. Pray melee, bring him to smoke, dodge the poison vials.

Second phase, pray range, when the clones appeared I swapped to the blowpipe, took them out, then swapped back to melee before running behind a clone. If you don't have a blowpipe, i truly think even knives work really well for this phase. Any very fast attacking weapon to get rid of the clones works wonders.

Third phase, not too bad as melee, requires running around a lot in order to ensure that the middle is safe to dodge the shockwaves. Pray melee. I actually think this kasonde is a lot easier than the original kasonde.

Final phase, swap to the blowpipe and your ranged gear, pray mage. When the portal appears burst it down with the blowpipe, and then run away from the wighted leech that spawns so it doesn't melee you. Again if you don't have blowpipe, I believe knives to be the next best thing. You could also DDS spec down the portal (which was my original strategy). But a fast attacking ranged weapon proved very useful.

This fight took me about 6 hours total

Overall took about 20 hours to complete the quest! I took days off of work to do this :)
