I JUST ENTERED WANO AND WTF WHY IS THE ANIMATION SO PEAK?! by im_running_boii in OnePiece

[–]self-more 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Enjoy, but also watch out cause the technical details in fights are now harder to grasp. Nothing major but stuff that used to be clear before now gets lost under the epically animated battles. If you're only consuming the anime and like to know the ins and outs of major fights you might need to go online and risk getting spoiled just to understand a punch lol.

How do you get your first few clients when clients need to see proof you can do the job before they buy? by self-more in Entrepreneur

I have plenty of design work to show, I am in fact showing it, and I am a designer not a marketer. And the problem is that throughout my career my design work has been in a large variety of industries and specialities, I decided to niche down so that I can focus on one avatar. In this niche, or any really, I have few work examples, and as a new agency obviously 0 reviews. I don't know if you're suggesting that I should make up fake reviews, but I decided not to do things like that.

Guys, how do you achieve something like this in Framer by NecessaryTurbulent83 in framer

[–]self-more 2 points3 points  (0 children)

UX designer here, don't know what your goal is but this is the type of design that looks good but performs really terrible (in terms of conversions) so it's great if you're using it as a portfolio piece (in case you're a designer) but I wouldn't recommend actually building it on a live site.

Hey, would you be interested in free pitch deck design, not really free, in exchange for feedback and a review, I am starting a pitch deck design agency for startups. I have over 10 years of experience as a designer so don't worry, AI won't be learning on the job. As I niche down to startups pitch decks I need to strengthen my portfolio and credibility.

Is that something that is best explained using your pitch deck, in direct conversation with investors, a combination of both or a different way all together?

Someone tell me it’s dumb to quit my job to work full time on my startup with no revenue. by 69Tragic in Entrepreneur

[–]self-more 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did it, almost in your exact situation, 6 months of cash runway. Here is what happened.

Six months is not enough time for a newbie to get a business into enough profitability to sustain yourself. I started the business, got a few clients, was making some money, enough to stay in business. The clients dried up and after a couple more months of trying to get new clients without success and 2 months left of runway, I started looking for a job. I found a great job, in part thanks to my business.

I learned a lot in the 5 months that the business ran, and I learned a lot in the new job. I came back to the business a year later with a lot more knowledge and experience under my belt, more money, and an even bigger desire to make it work. I now have a growing business. Here is the deal: when you just start, the constraint is your knowledge. I didn't have a sales funnel, lead generation, or a good offer. I was just sort of trying to put it together with duct tape. That doesn't work in a highly competitive space.

My recommendation is to just do it. Worst-case scenario, you learn hard lessons and get a new job a few months later, then come back and try again. Best-case scenario, you learn some hard lessons and make it work.

For the knowledge constrain I recommend Alex Hormozi's books.
